Elemental Warriors- Chapter Eight

CHAPTER EIGHT- ENCOUNTER

ERI HOUTARO

Look at the mirror, comb my hair, a little powder and BOOM, I'm fascinating.Hehe... Just kidding :D. Now going downstairs for breakfast. Actually there's no school today, today's saturday and I've got nothing to do coz' I've done all of my homeworks and projects. Hardworking, eh? ^O^V Well that's me!...

"Ohayo, Eri. Wanna have some breakfast?" said Onee-chan.

"Ohayo, Onee-chan. What's the menu for today?" I asked.

"The usual, bacon and eggs." she replied.

"Okay then, I'll have some." I said.

"Go ahead, I'll just open the televesion." She replied and turned on the televesion.

Yeah... We have a flatscreen tv in the dining area coz' okā-san(means Mother) wants to watch news in the morning...

"By the way, where's Mom and Dad?" I asked.

"They're at the office." She replied but still looking on the televesion.

"But today's saturday." I said to her.

"Yeah, they have this emergency meeting so they have to attend." She said.

"Ahh. So, what's on?" I asked then took a spoonful of eggs and stuffed it in my mouth.

"Wait, let's watch the news first." She said.

Reporter: "The News Headlines..."

We watched while I am eating my breakfast and as well as Nee-chan...

Reporter: "As of now, there is currently a huge fire on 123 Street, Apple city."

(A/N: Don't mind about the street name, I just made it up xD.)

"No way, that street is near ours." Nee-chan said shockingly.

Reporter: "The huge fire, according to the Police, is said to be the doings of 3 teengers who are already caught and secured inside the car for further questioning and also investigation. As you can see them, over there..."

*Bbaammm*

"Ahh! Eri, daijōbo dess ka?(means Are you okay?)" She asked and looked at the floor.

"Iē, daijōbo dess.(means No, I'm okay)" I replied.

"Okay then. I'll get the mop to clean this up." She said.

"Hai. And I'll get the broom." I replied.

I slipped the glass I'm holding coz' I'm shocked from what I saw... It's a shadow... A shadow dog to be exact... There's 3 of them, each are just behind the teenagers' head...

"Eri, are you sure you're ok? Coz' you're quite spacing out a lot lately." Onee-chan said.

"Yes, yes. I'm fine. Don't worry. Uhmm, look, I'll help." I replied.

We cleaned the floor, I finished my breakfast and head out of the house to do some roaming around the city...

"Be careful!" Onee-chan shouted to me.

"I will!" I shouted back.

And I'm still thinking about the news earlier. That's the first I saw a shadow... They're quite scary for their first impression. They looked like a dog with red razor sharp eyes and dark violet skin... Pretty scary, right?...

"Eri! Watch out!" Someone screamed at me and...

"Huh?"

As I turned to my left I saw a truck coming... Then...

"Eri!"

*Hooooonnnkkksss*

After a few minutes...

"Huh?"- Me

"Eri, are you ok?" Someone asked.

I still closed my eyes because of shockness then...

"Eri?"

"Light?" That's the only word I just said to him...

"You're just fine. You made me worried." He said.

"A-arigatō g-gozaimasu(means Thank you very much), Light." I said in a little shakey voice.

"No prob. Good thing I saw you and saved you, just don't space out again like that. Got it?" said Light.

"Wakarimashta(means I understand) ,Light." I replied

"Okay then, better go now. Got some work to do. Jah neh, Eri" said Light while waving his hand.

I waved my hand too then continued walking to the park... And sat down on the grass under a big tree, where I could think over things WITHOUT involving in any accidents "=_= ...

Oh, that's right. The guy earlier is Light Tanaka and yes, he's Shiki's older brother. Physical appearance? Dark hair, silver colored eyes, white complexion, tall and his face looks like he is always serious buy he's quite handsome though ;-D...

Shiki told me that Light is always at work and that's why he is always alone at his home. I barely know Light but he is kind and smart, a little mysterious though or maybe a totally mysterious guy, I should say...

Anyways, better get back on the topic, the Shadows. It seems that they've begun to attack or possess or something to humans. Guess, I

"You really like spacing out, don't you?" said from a familiar voice behind.

"Huh? Who's there?" I asked.

Actually ,I was sitting under a tree with really less crowd. I looked around, behind the tree and I saw him...

"Light?" I said.

"Yup, guess another encounter with you." He said.

"Y-yeah. What you doin' here? I thought you still have some works to do?" I asked

"Yeah, I do but don't feel like doing 'em." He replied.

"Oh." That's all I said.

"Sit beside me?" He said.

And I sat beside him, still under the big tree...

Silence, silence between us. I looked at him. He's just leaning on the tree with his eyes closed, daydreaming maybe?...

"So..." He broke the silence "What ya doin' here?" He asked.

"Nothing, really." I replied.

"Sōka(means I see)" He said "Hmmm, I'll be goin' then. See ya, Eri."

"Jah neh, Light." I said.

"Yeah... Jah neh, Eri." He said

I thought that he said something or I'm just imagining it?

Then he left me, I still need to think over things happening around here and on what I got myself into...

What is it we really are after? I need to get stronger, smarter and better. Be prepared on what might happen to me, to us. Gotta talk to the others, we better prepared and  ourselves...

"Yo! Eri"

"Huh? Lavi?" I said shockingly

He just appeared out of the blue "=_=. Oh yeah...

"Oh yeah. I need to talk to you." I said.

LIGHT TANAKA

"Yeah... Jah neh, Eri." I said to her

"I'll see you soon." I whispered with an evil grin  and left her.

I still have some unfinished business to do, really tiring and boring works...

When will the beginning starts? I'm already losing my patience...
