My Protector, My Lover

Love is a broken door

-West' s perspective-
I wake up the next morning, thinking about what had happened last night. It was short and quick, but it replayed in my mind, over and over again. I looked to her, looking as if I was wearing unnatural blush. I waited for her to wake up. She reminded me of a wingless angel, sleeping there with nothing but an impression of innocence radiating off her. He smiled as I watched her eyes slowly open. I notice she blushed too as she sees me. Her smile quickly fades as she gets up. I lay there, my hair draped against my forehead and my palms shaky. I then wondered if this all had only been a dream and she hadn't done anything. "Çrâp, we're trapped in here" she says, trying to pull on the door knob. "What do you mean?" I ask her. "I mean, someone took the door handle off" she says, peeking through the hole in the doorknob. "Oh know! What do we do?" I asked. She turned to me and sighed. "We can always read more from the story" she suggested. I nodded, getting the book from underneath my pillow case. I tell her to come sit beside me. Before  I begin, I have enough courage to lean in and kiss her back, causing us to turn bright red. Ever since I've done that, we've grown closer together. She begins telling me these jokes and then I tell her a few of my own. We each take turns laughing at the other's jokes. We also tell stories of our past and share secrets. Just then, there was  a knock on the door. "Who's there?" I asked. "Caretaker" they say from the other side. "Caretaker who?" I ask as a joke. "Open this door! There's this nice couple wanting to see you two" she says. We both look at each other, wondering who it could be. She helps me to my wheelchair and then we go out to meet the couple who wants to meet us. I was nervous, though I didn't show it. Hopefully they're nice and want to keep both of us and not just Skye.
