When I was little, I loved spending the night at my grandparents. They always cooked amazing food and they were always out and about doing new things. My grandmother loved to paint and she taught me how to correctly use a brush and the highest quality colors and where I can get them cheaper.

My grandmother planned our days carefully, making sure we had just enough time for everything we had to do. She was alwasy such a strict person when it cmae to that, maybe that's why I love planning so much now.

When I was 8, my grandmother was terribly sick, and instead of going out to our usual spot to paint, my grandmother and I stayed in her backyard to paint. We painted whatever we wanted to.

That night, I went to bed at my normal time, looking forward to the next day when I would see if grandma got better.

I woke up to hear soft sniffles, hearing my grandfather on the phone. He was taking with my mom, telling her that he tried waking up my grandmother but she wouldn't answer. He asked her to quickly come over before I woke up, he didn't have the heart to tell me my grandmother died in her sleep.

My mom came over and woke me up, telling me as calmly as she could that my grandmother died in her sleep. She held me as I processed everything but even during her funeral, I didn't cry.

I received everything of her, her jewelry, perfumes, and, of course, her art supplies. I kept them hidden in my closet and when I reached 17, I decided to try my hand at painting. I broke down, crying over my grandmother for a god while before picking myself up and going on with my life.

Ever since I wished that death took me as quick as possible. I imagined death coming into my room saying, "Hey, I'm running behind so we gotta make this quick okay? Hold still,".

But as I gasped for breath, my body was feeling cold and I could feel a strong pain in my back and my arms. I could tell that some parts of me were wet and others felt like a popsicle melted on me and the sticky liquid was everywhere.

"Sorry, I'm behind schedule. Just a couple more minutes I swear," I could just picture that damn reaper looking at the watch on his bony arm, watching the seconds tick by while I felt like it was years.

I should probably back up, right? Here, I'll back up an hour before.

"Stop it you don't have a test, Alina!" Sana yelled. Her hand flew down to the book in my hands, making my book fall on the ground with the force. I looked up at my black haired friend, her eyes glaring at me.

Sana Takashi was my best friend since she became my roommate three years ago. She was studying to be a lawyer and hell would she make an excellent one. She won every single argument we ever had.

"Sana!" I scowled, bending down to pick up my book when a red Converse landed on it, making me look up at the dark leg, I looked past the ripped jean shorts and the white t-shirt, seeing the honey colored eyes of my friend Egypt.

"I swear to whatever God is up there, you're going with us," She spoke in a low tone, making me stand up to fully face her.

"I don't want to go," I answered back.

Egypt was in majority of my classes throughout my university career, and because of that, we decided to be partners and eventually the tree of us became best friends.

"Listen to me, Marco personally invited you! How can you not go?" Egypt groaned, plopping down on my bed, Sana sitting next to her.

"Marco did go out of his way to look for you for two hours until he finally found you," Sana sighed, rolling her eyes and resting her elbow on her knee.
