In this time of worldwide political issues, I believe that this story- and the message of hope I've tried to share in it- is as important as ever.
Some of us may deal with terror in this world of confusion, some may deal with the war on their own minds and emotions. Some people fight for equality, some for freedom, some for their lives. WE, as human beings, are connected that way- not in the battles WE face, but in the deeper meaning. WE fight different battles- that is an undisputed fact- but why do WE fight? Because WE want to be happy. And whether that is to have good grades, to be able to practise your religion freely, or to have a home, it does not matter. What does matter is that WE do not stop.
If WE stop, then the evil has won. WE may not need to go undercover, WE may not need to infiltrate a terrorist group. What WE need to do is find our hearts and know what WE want.
Why do WE set goals? Because We want to go somewhere. And wherever that somewhere will be, WE as humans must always, always, reach for it.
In this time of trouble, WE must always remember that there will always be a light, a hope. It is my fondest hope that WE will always look to it.
Remember who the enemy is. Remember to look at all sides of everything. Remember, remember, remember that no matter what the world is doing, you are loved.
