Cindy and Margot show you your office, which is, in your opinion, not really an office. It's a nice, wooden desk right outside Margot's office. The desk is large and is accompanied by a comfy looking chair swivel chair and an Apple computer. It's located in the perfect location for you to be available to Margot at all times.
Cindy runs through a few important rules they have and you nod and listen intently because you don't want to lose the job since you just got it. You notice the entire time they are giving you a tour of the building that Margot would either nod her head in approval or respond with short answers. You wonder if she is always barely responsive and extremely curt.
Yet, you feel as though she has a strong presence. Without even having to turn your head to look at her, you can feel her hazel eyes staring into your back.
"Alright, that's about it," Cindy says, tearing you from your thoughts, "questions?"
You give Cindy a small, polite smile, "Not at the moment."
"Great, now for your first task," the short, dark blonde smiles at you, "coffee run."
*******
After you have gathered Margot's and Cindy's orders in your hands, you leave the cafe and try to hail a cab before the drinks get cold.
Luckily, your wait isn't long and before you know it you're on your way back to the firm.
The coffee feels warm in your hands and you cherish the feeling since it is a little chilly outside and you didn't bring a jacket. You notice the light goosebumps on your arms and you can't wait to be back in the warm office.
You push open the door with a slight swift of your hips and make your way to Cindy's desk first since she is nearby.
She thanks you as you hand her the cup and then you're on your way to Margot's office. As you get there, you see a man walking out. You can't stop your eyes when they linger on him for a little bit because he is one of the most physically flawless humans you've ever seen. He's seems perfect; He's tall, fit, and has dark brown hair.
However, you look away with ease once you remember the drink in your hand that is starting to get colder as time passes and you continue on with your task.
You gently knock on Margot's office door and hear a soft "come in" from the other side.
Opening the door slowly, you are taken back by how simple yet elegant her office is. One wall is covered in windows and the rest are painted black. She even has matching expensive looking, black furniture.
She sits scrolling through her phone with her long, smooth legs kicked up on her glass desk. Her hazel eyes look up at you through her long, dark hair and you feel yourself gasp involuntarily.
You snap yourself out of the momentary trance realizing that you're going to have to get used to being surrounded by unbelievably beautiful people all the time.
She's just watching you, waiting for you to speak.
You clear your throat, a little unsettled by her stare, "Um, Hi. I, uh, brought your tea."
Her eyes shift downwards to the cup in your hand, then back to her phone, "Leave it on my desk."
Typically, when you get something for others, the usual response is a 'thank you', not a fast dismiss like Margot gave you. Her reaction had caught you off guard, but once again, you remind yourself that this job is going to benefit you a lot in the future and that you need to keep it.
So you obey her request and set the hot tea on her desk. As you began to leave the room, you hear heels land on the floor, making a soft clicking noise, then you hear a smooth voice asking, "What are you doing tonight?"
You turn around, knowing that she's talking to you since you're the only one in the room besides her, and reply, "Nothing."
"We're going out. You drink, right?" She questioned, picking up her tea.
As you open your mouth to respond, she cuts you off, "Doesn't matter."
You watch as she sips the hot beverage and see the satisfied look on her face. She sets the cup back down and runs her pink tongue over plump lips. Not noticing, you run your tongue over your lips as well.
Unsure of how to react to her boldness, you nod your head and ask, softly, "Is there anything else you need me to do?"
"Yes," she turns around behind her to face a filing cabinet and pulls out a folder, "I need you to go through these papers and set up a photo shoot for Wednesday next week. All the contact information you'll need is in here, if you have any questions ask Cindy."
You take the folder from her and get on your way back to your desk. The instructions were vague, but after getting guidance from Cindy you're able to complete the demand.
You learn from the blonde that Margot doesn't like to get close to her employees because she believes that being friends with your coworkers is not possible. After thinking through that thought for a little while, you understand where she's coming from. Being a boss to your friends would make giving them commands difficult and awkward. You respect her for being serious about her business.
Cindy had also told you that Margot is strict and will at times say harsh things without realizing the effect of her words. She told you not to take anything that Margot says to heart. Jokingly, she added that you should not "fall in love with her" because she has a new boy toy every other week.
Despite the negative things Cindy had to say about Margot, you could tell by the tone of her voice that she cared deeply for the model and that they were close even though they were coworkers.
After you finish with Cindy, you return to your office to inform Margot of the arrangements for the photo shoot.
You knock lightly on the door and find her signing a few papers.
Once again, you're caught off guard be the intensity of her hazel eyes.
You realize you haven't said anything when she asks, "Is there something you needed?"
That snaps you back into reality and you walk into the room and set the folder on her desk with a neon sticky note attached that had the time and location of the shoot written on it.
"The shoot is set up for 10 A.M. on Wednesday," you say, confident since you were able to complete the task with no major difficulties.
She nods and glances at the folder before looking back up at you and saying, "Great, thanks."
You aren't sure how to judge her knowing what Cindy told you. However, you wish that she would show more emotion towards you since you are a person after all.
You nod and are about to ask her if she needs anything else when you hear her say, "You're free to go. I have to finish looking through these contracts and then I'll come get you."
You had completely forgotten about going out with her tonight.
"Would you like me to write down my address and phone number?" you ask.
She shakes her head without giving you an explanation as to why not, "No. See you tonight."
She turns to face the papers on her desk.
You leave feeling nervous about seeing her again in a few hours.
