Elle's POV:
I ran towards Tanner, not caring about anything else in the world. I needed someone that I could trust and that I could go to when I needed a shoulder to cry on. In Washington I had no one. Before the move I didn't have as many problems, but I occasionally needed someone to talk to. Tanner always seemed to be there for me. Capron and Corey were there too but not quite like Tanner.

He had his arms wide open, calling me. I jumped into his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in the crook of his neck. He spun us in circles. I giggled a little bit, then tears built up in my eyes. I looked up at Tanner.
"Elle what's wrong?"
"I-I just missed you so much." He pulled me back into a hug. He whispered into my ear,
"It's okay you're safe, I'm right here." His voice was so soothing, actually felt safe for the first time in a while. After a good minute or so I heard a pair familiar voices.
"Elle!!!" Tanner put me down and I turned to see Capron and Corey running towards me.
"Capron!! Corey!!" Capron pushed Corey out of his way and I ran into his arms. "I missed you guys so much!"
"I missed you so much too!" Capron exclaimed. Corey stood up, put his hat back on and brushed off his pants.
"Thanks Capron I really appreciated that." Corey rolled his eyes and jogged over to us. Capron laughed as I left his arms and embraced Corey's. I really did miss these guys a lot.

Tanner's POV:
There was something different about Elle I could feel it, but it was so good to have her back. I missed her sarcastic comments and corny dad jokes. I had a feeling I wouldn't be hearing many of those.
"Hey let's go get your luggage." She nodded with a small smile, she was so adorable. Wait did I really just think that? Did I still have feelings for her? Last year was a drag without her here to make me laugh. I'm so glad she's back, I'm not going to let her leave like that again.
"Hey Corey you want to come bring the car around with me?" Capron asked giving him the hint to leave me and Elle alone. Corey looked at me then to Capron then to Elle, who was fiddling around with her backpack. He sighed
"Ohhhh, Yeah sounds good." He winked at me. I laughed and rolled my eyes. Elle finished fiddling with her bag and looked around a bit.
"I think we go over there," she pointed behind me. Capron and Corey had already started towards the parking garage, so I turned and followed her.

Elle's POV:
Tanner and I stood next to each other as we waited for my suitcase. I put everything I had into that one suitcase, I have to tell the guys about everything, I just don't know how I'm going to. Last year was the worst year of my life, literally. I was away from my best friends, beaten, screamed at, I went nights hardly sleeping, I had to work my ass off all the time, and I had to stop doing the things I love most, trampolining and scootering.
"So...I know something is up, and you don't have to tell me right now, you can when you're ready to. Just know I'm always here for you through everything." Tanner always seemed to make things better, even if he wasn't even trying to he just did.
"Thanks Tanner and I swear I'll tell you and the  others everything. I really need to." He nodded.   I think he noticed how anxious I was and he put his arm around my waist. I showed him a small smile and continued to look for my luggage. I spotted it moments later and walked up to get it, Tanner followed. I reached for the bag but Tanner beat me to it.
"Don't worry I got it." He said. I let him take it and we started towards the front. Capron and Corey were in the GTR waiting for us. Capron got out of the drivers seat and Tanner took his place after opening the door for me.
"Why thank you." Tanner nodded
"M'lady." I chuckled and climbed in. Capron put my bag in the trunk and hopped in the back with me. Tanner drove off and at last I was safe, for now. I dozed off to the boys chatter.
