*~ Prologue ~*
Have you ever had everything ripped away from you. I have. My parents died 4 years ago, I was 16, they left my year old sister in my care and I became an emancipated minor.
It was a hard life. I moved in with my aunt who was living in England. I finished my schooling online and soon became a qualified teacher. Now I am returning to Ireland, to my hometown, and my sister will be starting primary school.
I am dreading going back and seeing the pitying faces of my old friends and neighbours. I still remember my friend knocking on my door that night and telling me. A week later I left. I almost regret leaving because of what I left behind but the pain was just too hard to deal with so I don't regret it completely.
I arrived home at 2pm. I had brought groceries in a nearby town because I didn't feel like talking to anyone today. I just want a few days peace to get my head together again.
I spent the first day setting up Poppy's room and mine. The next few days were spent sitting out the house. Next thing I know its a week later and time to face reality.
