Let me take you back to the beginning, to fully understand. There's always a time where we're guilty of not loving ourselves first, but still hoping someone would do and tell us what's there to love.
Sometimes conceited people needed the most attention. They don't think they're good enough that someone would actually compliment or even notice them. They compliment themselves instead.
When you can't make the bad times disappear, you can always focus on the good times.
This is how she started to have the courage to chase for something she really want in her entire life.
And it's to travel to Korea.
It started when she was only 20 years old. December 21, 2018, when IKON had this event together with other kpop bands.
It's also coincidentally Rebekah Grace's birthday, and yes, she has the same birthday as Bobby, but 3 years later.
Lucky coincidence. Her birthday and a fan meet. Like a gift especially for her.
Even her name has a meaning. Rebekah, wife of Isaac, Grace, undeserved blessing or gift. At least the bible says so.
Still innocent and afraid, she was shy to ask any question and get to know the other kpop fans.
The venue was basically this huge stadium. Not enough money to purchase a front row ticket she stood there at the back, still watching the monitor.
But who cares right? As long as you're one of those shining light sticks representing the whole fandom, iKON will definitely have a reason to come back to your country.
You're just that contented and loyal at first, and then they include that selecting ticket numbers of VVIP tickets who can joining them on stage.
That's when you start to regret that last meal you have that cost you a fortune, that contribution you gave because it's your workmate's birthday, that extra money you spent because you're so lazy to walk and just called a taxi, that expensive coffee at a cafe that usually you can buy 60 packs of 3in1 coffee from the grocery and those money you spend on hair products.
You watched there with teary eyes with one thing left in mind. 'Next time, that's going to be me.' while pretending that you're entertained with the games that they're doing.
Two years later, an official concert finally came. Rebekah can now afford the VVIP ticket. She's an official staff nurse. Done with the training without pay. That bullshit of a year and a half without salary, just volunteering.
Those expenses she regret spending two years ago, she doesn't regret it now. Money's not a problem anymore. Appearance? No worries about it too, BB cream, eyeliner and a lip tint is the solution. And for the hair, don't they all love straight long hair? She straightened her hair for hours before getting here.
