Sans and Papyrus: The Past (An Undertale Fanfiction)

The fallen humans...

|Gaster's POV|

Before Asriel, the King's son, died with their first human child, Chara

  I became royal scientist to discover a way to free us from the under ground. Once the king's and queen's child died, King Asgore wanted me to find ways to absorb the soul power of any other human that has fallen,
without touching it.

   So far, 2 humans have fallen,

and have died.

We've also heard news that the Queen has gone missing but, thankfully I've installed cameras around the underground to make sure to see where a human is.

A few weeks ago, I've seen the Queen run off to the ruins but closed the door and has never came out.

~Days later~

I'm going to visit her. I teleport to the front door as I knock...

No response. I knock again... No response.

|My queen, I know you are in there. It is I, Gaster.|

-The Royal Scientist, is it not?-

I heard her say sightly before staying silent again and not responding. I can't wait any longer and decide to teleport inside. As I do, I see she is walking to what looks like New Home. But, in her own way.

|Queen--|

-Toriel. Call me, Toriel.-

|Okay, Ms. Toriel. Why have you come here..?|

-I do not want to be called Queen with a killer like Asgore. He is killing innocent children.., Children that I am trying to SAVE.-

|...|

I stay quiet knowing,
Asgore is not the killer here.
Although he is strong, I've been the one doing the job for him. I look at the que- I mean, Toriel.. And walk off. I would not want to put cameras here.

  For her and his sake.

I turn to Toriel saying,

| Ms. Toriel. Think about it. If someone you love dearest, is at the verge of death., What would you do if you had two choices. Kill the person who's killed them or watch them die in-front of your eyes knowing it is bad to kill. Think. You know Asgore would pick the 2nd choice. As for me.... I wouldn't.|

I teleport away.

*hey Dad! Dad are you okay..?

|Yes, I'm alright son. Where's Papyrus?|

*he's sleeping.....we...we were worried.. you were gone for a while..

|Do not worry. I will always come back Sans..|

I carry Sans to his bed and tell him goodnight before checking on Papyrus. When checking on him, I see, Papyrus isn't sleeping.

~D-da-da?

|...Your...First..Words?|

~Dada?

|You finally called me dad??! Papyrus, at such a time, you finally said your first words? I'm so proud of you!|

I carry Papyrus out of bed and smile as he smiles back. He is a sweet boy,
He is too precious for his world..
I hug Papyrus as he keeps repeating "DaDa!", I laugh and smile.

*sans POV*

heh...im glad that dad's glad.
i hear his joy from the door as i slowly go back into my room.
well...since dad was gone so long, i decided to teach papyrus a few words...

he's first actual word was sans. heheh...
then i tried to tell him to say dad,

he got confused and tried. i guess he did it. but, I won't tell him his first actual word was sans...

welp. time to go to bed.

i hope dad isn't busy again tomorrow...i wish we could all have some time together.... and he could even take me to his job if he wanted too...

i wonder... what does he do...?
