How It Used To Be

Chapter 5

      Ugh, today is not a good day to wake up. Not feeling good, slowly feel like vomiting. But I got up very carefully. Did my daily routine sloshily and put on my favorite leather jacket. I thought to myself. Today is not the the day for Sean. As soon as I said that guess who showed up. "Heyyyyyy Danny Boy how have you be- you look like crap"

           "Yeah I'm pretty sick. Sorry to look bad on you"

           "Haha good one bestie." I rolled my eyes to that. "Oh hey the bus."

           "Saved by the bus" I murmured. We walked up to the stop and got on the bus and saw my lovely Amber and thought. I forgot I was sick when I saw her. Maybe this isn't a day for kisses. Gotta remind her. I walked down the aisle and said to her, "Hey Amber. Glad to see you. Don't feel well. So. Be cautious of anything like kisses"

              "Well thanks for warning me. I was actually just about to kiss you so thanks." She said as she giggled and my god that giggle is one of the reasons I live. "But it sucks that you're not feeling well. I wish you get better soon. Fun days are coming up. My birthday is actually next month. If I haven't told you. March 26th. So keep that in mind. I'll get to be your age again." She said and giggled again. Just wonderful. Two in a row.
  
             "Yep got that in my mind now." I said with a smile. "Just cause my birthday is in December doesn't mean you'll have to wait for the months to go by just to be my age. It doesn't really matter. Still going to love you"

              "Aww, I'm glad I decided to tell Jon about my crush towards you" Which was sadly the last statement for this bus ride. Cause we arrived. We hugged and went our different ways.

              Yay class time. Always the time everyone can't wait for. Everyone just sucks. It takes 4 hours till lunch. It's so bad to deal with. Well I already feel horrible so whatever.

                "Daniel. What part of us do you like better? The fact we're the best couple? Or that we don't have you to try to ruin it?" Willy said holding Dana.

                "Don't care. Don't feel good so please don't be bothering me."
   
                 "Someone upset? I only asked a question" He said and turned around. That really pissed me off but I held in my anger. I needed to be composed while in class. I suffered through the rest of that class and now it's Lunch time. I guess I have to say thanks to Jon for telling me about Amber. Because if it weren't for him. We wouldn't be together.

          After I grabbed my lunch I went to the table and Jon went with me. "So Jon...I need to thank you"

          "Thank me?"

          "Thank you. Because of telling me about Amber. Because now I am in a happy relationship. So. Thanks man."
 
           "Oh. So that's how it went with you guys. You're welcome. I didn't know if that would help just didn't want to keep secrets from you."

           "Well I'm glad you didn't. Now I have a girlfriend so. I'm happy." I told him that and gave him a fist bump and he just seemed surprised. Maybe I'm the first to actually be like this towards him? I don't know. I didn't ask. The bell rang to make me go to other classes and that's always good. It's not much fun to have to deal with them but as long as the end goal is Amber I'll be ok.

                God it sure does suck being sick and still going to school. But at least it's just Friday. I'll be alright. All will be ok. It's the last few minutes of my last class and I won't have to worry about being here anymore. But I had a plan for the weekend but we'll save that for the end of the story.

              The final bell rang and it was time for us to start filing out to the buses which took me forever because the teacher kept me back. I was staying there for like 3 minutes and I almost missed the bus. I just barely got on and sat next to Amber. "Someone was a little late" She said with a smile.

                "Oh I wonder who." I said as she giggled, "Anyhow. I wanted to talk to you about the weekend? Because the weekend is tomorrow and I wanted to know if you wanted to spend the day together."

                 "You mean like a date?"

                 "I guess that's what it is."

                 "I'd say I'm free tomorrow ok. So yes. I would love to go on a date with you." She said as she sealed the date with a kiss and we went back home. I immediately felt better.
