Not So Human

Chapter 5

Eva's POV
"Why would you do that?" I shout as I get into his car.

"Do what?!" He says in that tone that always pisses me off.

"Embarrass me like that in front of Dylan."

"Oh shut up Eva you don't even like him, and he doesn't even like you. Your still a child that doesn't even understand what love is!" That hurts.

I do know what I feel for Dylan and it's different to anybody else I've dated, it's real.

"How do you know? Your just jealous because your not in a relationship and nobody loves you, so don't go destroying my relationship just because Zara left you for somebody else!" I say that with out realising what I said until after I said it.

"Wow.. Eva." He looks like he's about to cry, I feel horrible like I just stabbed someone.

Why did I say that?

"Ash.. I'm sorry- I." Without me even able to finish my sentence, he buts in.

"Its fine.. I- Just get in." He tells me with a weak smile, before getting in the car himself. I can still see the hurt in his eyes, he's just trying to hide it from me.

I open the door slowly hoping my dad doesn't hear me, but that's to late.

"Where have you been, I've been ringing you all night?"

How should I tell him, 'oh yeah don't worry dad I slept round Dylan's house because I fainted'... NO I can't say that.

He will ask way to many questions he will think I've gone, you know. Crazy.

Before I could even decide on what to say, Ash speaks up.

"Don't worry dad, I used the app on my phone and it took me to her friends house. I went up to get her and they fell to sleep on the bed doing work." I glare at him and he smirks.

Omg Ash that sounds so wrong.

"Oh that's okay then but make sure you tell me where you are for next time." He responds.

Thank god.

Just as I'm about to go upstairs Ash calls for me from the front door.

"Eva there's a boy here called Liam, he says he would like to talk to you." The name Liam doesn't ring any bells, I don't actually think I've ever known anyone called Liam.

I make my way to the front door to see a tall guy with large green eyes and his hair is light brown with darker highlights going through.

"Hello, Eva." He says ever so freaky. How does he know my name?

"Oh, hey." I respond trying the best to sound as jolly as I can.

"I'm going to leave then." Ash says walking off, my heart sank.

He just left me with this Liam guy I've never met before and he acts like he's known me for years.

"So Eva how are you?" I stop again lost in thought trying to think of ways to say 'I've never met you before...So can you leave'

BUT NO.

I say "I'm good thanks but.. erm....how do you...erm know me?" I probably sound scared out of my mind, I'm not gonna lie.

"Oh I know you because my old friend use to live here and he told me who the new family where, so don't worry I'm not a stalker." He doesn't take his eyes of mine it's like he can see right inside my soul, which is kind of creepy

"So I better get off then, but nice...meeting you." I say hoping he will leave, but no. He just stares for while then out of no where, he reaches for my phone, which was unlocked because I was on it.

I actually think he was putting my number into his phone then I suddenly here him mutter under his breath.

"Yes I've got it." He then hands me my phone and looks up at me and smiles.

"Bye." He shouts running into the darkness.

Leaving me unsure staring at my phone.
