"Lauren." Dan said softly kissing my mark. "It's time to get up." I whined. "But you're so warm and it's so early." He chuckled softly and I could picture his smile behind my closed eyes his dimples popping. "Don't you want to meet the pack?" My eyes flew open and I found myself staring into his beautiful brown orbs. "It's finally time?" "Mhhhhmmmmm." He said with an easy grin. I wriggled out from under him and fled to the bathroom where I, well, used the loo, then proceeded to rush. I could hear him laughing as I brushed my hair before braiding it, brushed my teeth and applied deodorant. I had just started my makeup when I felt him wraps his arms around my waist. I turned my head and gave him a good morning kiss as my primer set before starting in on my foundation. Once my makeup was done I left him to his shower as I started to dress. I slipped out of my pajamas into a blue halter neck sundress I'd found for the occasion.

I slipped on some matching flats and paced around waiting for Dan. Finally after what felt like hours he emerged wearing his normal skinny jeans and t-shirt attire. He paused admiring my appearance before an easy grin grew on his lips. "Ready?" I scoffed. "I've been ready for ages I'm waiting on you!" He chuckled and led us out of the flat and subsequently the building. We rounded the building toward the wooded shelter behind it and Dan wrapped an arm around me, his hand resting protectively and possessively on my hip. I wrapped an arm around him in return. I gasped in near panic at the number of people present. Dan just gave me a little squeeze that let me know he understood before leading me into the fray. The day turned into a bit of a blur as I met person after person Dan's arm being the only thing keeping me calm, until I met his parents. I was scared to meet them and Dan knew that. I couldn't help but worry that they wouldn't like me. What if they hated me and ordered Dan to forget about me and reject me? He assured me that that was impossible because he'd already marked me, but we weren't mated and I couldn't help but worry. I couldn't have been more wrong. When I saw Dan's mother start towards us I froze a little but when she saw me she squealed and pulled me out of Dan's hold into a massive hug. I hugged her back a little tentatively and when she finally let go I turned toward Dan's father nervous. "Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Howell, I'm Lauren." "Oh Thank Goddess." He'd uttered pulling me into a hug that rivaled his wife's for the inability to breathe. I stared at them blinking in shock. Dan's mother smiled brightly and hooked her arm through her husband's resting her head on his shoulder. "He was worried you were going to be one of those fake bimbos parading around." She explained cheerfully. I smiled gently back, "I'm glad I pass inspection Mrs. Howell." She giggled at me. "Call me mum dear." I blinked again in shock before nodding. After that I relaxed and conversation flowed. Maybe I won't be as bad at this as I thought.
