For some silly reason I thought today would be a good day. Silly Libi. Today started out really good and relaxed. When I woke I was greeted with a big plate of bacon and pancakes, Travis thought today was a good reason to cook breakfast. His reasoning? “It’s not everyday my little sister turns 18.”

Which I guess is a true statement. Today is my 18th birthday and that’s why I thought it would have been a good day. Clearly fate had different plans.

For my 16th and 17th birthday I received a bunch of flowers sometime during the day. Always the same flowers and the quickly became my favourite, Peonies. I never worked out whom they were from. The card always said the same, “Happy Birthday my Angel. I’ll be there with you soon. Sorry.”

Walking through the school I was confronted with my bully; the one guy that has not left me alone for 4 years.

“Oh look who is it, the little orphan girl.”  That there, is our school dick head Knox.

Knox Flynn and I have been going to the same school since day I moved here. I was 14 when I moved schools. I didn’t live far from the school and neither did Knox. Today with me turning 18, makes it 4 years of being tortured by Knox. I came to this school on my 14th birthday. After being at the school for a year, Knox and I were both 15, his comments started to become more harsh and direct.

Turning my head towards him I raised an eyebrow. “Now Knox, wherever you’re getting your information from, I’m sorry to tell you but it’s wrong. I’m not an orphan… but whatever.”

“Then why do you live with just guys?” He smirked.

I just stare at him. Showing no emotion what so ever. It’s times like this I thrive on. Times when he does his thing in person and I can retaliate.

Before I could say anything his friend Grant butted in. “Oh that’s right! You spread your legs for them all!”

It’s true I do live with two guys; Alec is 22 years old and my cousin. His parents passed away about two years ago. I was already living with Travis and Trent at the time and another didn’t really bother us. One of the other guys I live with was Travis, his brother Trent passed away last year at the age of 19. They’re twins. I met Trent when I was 14 years old and he was 16. I was looking for a place to live; I had money and was still attending school so no one really wanted an ‘immature’ 14-year-old girl living with them.

Trent took me back to his to meet his brother and Grandma and we all got along great! We ended up just forming a family relationship. I always called them my brothers and they always called me their baby sister.  The twins lived with their grandmother Mary since they were 5 years old; she was the sweetest lady I have ever met, so caring and welcoming. Mary passed away when I was 16 and the twins were 18.  Mary had raised the boys on her own. Her daughter Sarah, Trent and Travis’s mother, along with their father Tom was taken from them tragically in a house fire. In Mary’s will she had left the house to Trent and Travis to live in or do as they please.

Unfortunately one year after Mary has died, Trent passed away of Epilepsy, he had it for as long as he could remember, we all knew how to treat it but one day he had a seizure too big and no one could do anything about it.

Grant and all the guys started laughing, I didn’t care that he said it but what shocked me what Knox’s face showed guilt. Shifting my head to the side I wonder why…

“Grant as much as this my come as a shock, I don’t sleep with any of them. One is my brother and one is my cousin. I don’t do incest. But, by all means if you like screwing your sister… go for gold.”

A smirk formed on Knox’s lips, my face didn’t change, but Grant went bright red and I knew he was about to snap but was stoped by Knox’s hand.
