The next day, Dipper awoke to the feeling of his sister shaking his shoulders. She was always a morning person, so she usually woke up first. "Dipper! Get up! Get up!" she told her brother. She couldn't wait for the day's activities. "Get dressed and come downstairs! We're eating pancakes!" Mabel hadn't needed to say this because Dipper could smell the aroma of the special tasty breakfast food as soon as his senses came out of hibernation. It wasn't often that their Grunkle Stan would spend so much money and time to make pancakes, so Dipper hurriedly got out of bed, to get dressed. He put on his usual orange shirt, blue vest, and shorts. He placed his hat on his head as he leapt down the stairs. When he arrived at the bottom, he found his sister and Stan were seated at the kitchen table, each with three pancakes on their plate. There was a spot in between them set up with some pancakes for him.
He sat down in his seat and inhaled the scent of the fluffy, buttery goodness. He poured the thick, gooey syrup on the breakfast food. He began to slice his knife through them, so that he could shove a piece into his watering mouth. He raised the fork to his lips and took a bite. Flavor danced across his tastebuds as he chewed. This was the reason he loved pancakes so much. Halfway through breakfast, Grunkle Stan decided it was time to get to work.
"Alright," he began, "we'll finish eating, but I want to know the plan for today. Dipper, what's gonna be happening?"
Dipper brought out a piece of paper and started creating a checklist as he told his grunkle what he had thought about last night. "First off we'll need to get some decorations. Do we have any from the last party?"
Grunkle Stan replied, "Yeah. I didn't want to have to buy more for this one."
"Excellent! That means we'll be able to start decorating. Is there anything we'll need get from the store besides munchies and such? Got extra confetti Mabel?" Dipper questioned his sister.
"Yep!" she exclaimed throwing some confetti in the air. "I have enough for this party and the next!"
"Ummm... Do you always carry confetti in your pocket?" he asked, as the confetti littered Mabel's hair.
Mabel giggled. "Never leave home without it!"
Dipper raised his eyebrow. "Okay then... So all we'll need to get at the store is food and punch." He tapped his chin in thought. What next? "We'll need to print some admission tickets. Grunkle Stan, can you do that while we go to the store?"
"Sure," his grunkle answered, "Anything else we need to know?"
Dipper thought for a moment. "Nope," he replied, "We'll just need to triple check anything and that should give us about an hour to do anything else we need to before the party."
"Let's do this!" Mabel shouted. They quickly finished breakfast and went to the room that they would be turning into Party Central. Wendy and Soos came in shortly after to help decorate.
"Mabel, throw around that confetti! Wendy, put up that disco ball! This is gonna be the best party those kids have ever been to!"
Stan decided to supervise everybody else mainly because he didn't want to have to do any work. Soos started to test the electrical wirings to make sure that all of the lights would come on to make the party awesome. Luckily they all worked, so when Wendy put up the disco ball, lights flashed around the room. While she was up there, Wendy put some balloons and stringed lights near the ceiling. Meanwhile Mabel was shooting confetti everywhere with her confetti gun. Dipper set up a few chairs along the walls and moved a couple of tables with Mabel. Soos set up an area for his keyboard to go, so his DJing would be, as Wendy would say, "off the chain"!
When finished, the group stared in awe at the amazing job they had done. The lights shined across the walls and the dance floor sparkled. "Wow!" they said in unison.
Dipper proceeded to check decorate off of his list. He looked over the list to see what else needed to be completed:
Decorate
Buy Food+ Punch
Print Tickets
Find Soos's keyboard
Last minute details
Get ready
The first item was already completed, so the next was to go buy food and punch.
"This looks great you guys!" Stan complimented.
Everybody thanked him. It wasn't often that somebody would receive admiration from Grunkle Stan.
Mabel smiled. "What's next on the agenda BroBro?"
"We need to get stuff to eat for the party," Dipper explained.
Mabel eyes gleamed with excitement. "Can I please make some Mabel Juice?"
"Well..." Dipper replied wearily. He knew how hyper kids would get if they gave them Mabel Juice. But at the same time he didn't want to hurt his sister's feelings.
Luckily, Grunkle Stan told Mabel, "No way! It's like if coffee and nightmares had a baby. I don't want all of these kids running around like they've lost their minds!"
Mabel considered this for a moment and agreed. "Alright... Soos, can you drive us to the store?"
"Sure hambone," Soos informed. He'd do anything for the Pines family.
"Don't forget to print the tickets while we're gone!" Dipper reminded his great uncle.
Grunkle Stan said, "Don't worry. I got it"
And with that, they were off to the store.

When they arrived at the store, Dipper and Mabel were the first ones to exit Soos's pickup truck. They hurried into the store, with Soos and Wendy close behind them.
The store had a fragrance of fruit upon entering. The scent of strawberries, bananas, and blueberries entered the cave of Dipper's nose when he stepped inside. "Mmmmm..." he mumbled. It was a nice, sweet smell. Dipper was not used to this because Stan rarely bought fresh fruit. "Okay... I guess Mabel and I will get the snacks and you two can find some refreshments." Everybody agreed this was a good plan and went to their separate aisles.
The possibilities for the munchies for the party had a wide range of variety. There were potato chips, corn chips, cheetos, doritos, and more! They had no idea which to choose, so they decided to get two bags of everything. When they went to the drinks aisle, Soos and Wendy had already picked out some fruit punch and big bottle of Pitt Cola (without the pitt). They went over to the cash register with their purchase and paid the nice cashier.
They walked outside, loaded the truck with the food and refreshments for the party, and drove off. On the way to the shack, Dipper checked off that they went to the store. Noticing the next item on the list, he hoped that Grunkle Stan did as he said he would and printed the admission tickets. If he was sitting in his yellow chair watching The Duchess Approves, Dipper was going to lose it.
