The cold September rain trickled through the gaps in the tall trees. Two figures could be seen from a distance, standing closely together. The first, a tall teenage boy, with dark hair that blended in with the dark scenery of the night. The second, a small teenage girl. Her brown locks blew in the wind and wisps of hair blew into her pale face.
The boy, Andy, walked shyly and his shoulders were hunched over. The girl, Morgan bounded along beside him, her arms flew up and down and around as she told him her stories and tales.
Andy listened intently, every glance he gave to Morgan was filled with an unknown emotion, a mixture of confusion and, love. The raindrops continued falling, but the two figures kept walking intently enjoying each others company.
When they had almost reached the end of the pathway of trees, the boy turned to Morgan and took hold of her by her elbow. He paused and stood there for some time taking in her features. Her forehead had brown freckles speckled evenly around it. Her nose was small and had tiny raindrops sliding down it until it met her, lips. Plump, pink and gorgeous. The cold made them a darker shade of pink and they were wet with rainwater.
She lowered her eyes to the ground as a small blush appeared on her cheeks. She knew he had been looking at her, admiring her.
She was a girl, a daughter, a sister, a lover, a friend. She was my friend.
I am Andy Greene. Morgan was my best friend.
This is my story.
