Hyeri's POV

Weeks have passed and I have barely talked with Taehyung. Hes tried talking to me and reaching me so many times. He stopped a few days ago though and just turned cold. He doesn't care about anything at this point. I refused to hear his excuses so ill deal with his shitty consequences.

I've also hung out with Chanyeol a bit more but I am majorly just focusing on my studies at this point. He has no classes with me so its difficult.

I made a new friend Jung Eunji. Shes really sweet and understanding for everything and she relates to me on a lot of things.

Mienie went on a family trip to Europe for a week so I am currently dorming alone and that's quite depressing.

Oh shitteu its almost time for music study...

I rushed out of my dorms and head to class where Bangtan Boys and Eunji was. All I have to say is yikes.

"Ms. Hyeri late again I see, detention after school for 30 minutes. Sit down." Mrs. Seo scolds the crap outta me.

I can see Eunji waving me to come beside her.

"Why aren't you ever on time?" She whispers and giggles to me. Its basically mockery.

"I do my best okok."

Taehyung isn't even here as pee usual he'll be late and get stuck with detention. Shit ill be stuck in detention with him. Nope. Nope. NOPE. Nope.

Ever since "then" he ruined his perfect attendance. Ruined his grades. Well done dude. I don't know what got into him. Maybe his true side came out.

"Class dismissed!"

ALREADY!?!? Damn I was too in thought. I need to stop. This needs to stop.

"Hyeri I need to go see a guidance counselor about my credits so I cant hang out for lunch, mianhe." She rushes off to the office.

Yikes, guess i gotta start looking all depressed and act emo right.

"Omg look at her?"

"Isn't she the one who was close to
Taehyung."

Just ignore it, you are better than this.

"Omg he actually went near her?"

Maybe they are right. Its hard to believe he even went near someone like me. A nobody.

"Maybe that's why he is failing everything now. LOL."

"Don't you have a miserable life to get back to. Go find some friends who might actually care about the trash you have to say." That voice....

Taehyung.

"I can fend for myself. Leave me alone." I cant stand this.

"Did I say I was defending you? I just don't like people bringing me up. No need to feel special."

"You are trash."

I just run down the hall. I don't stop to turn around. I just need to get away. I need sanctuary.

~Library~

Guess I made it all the way across the school to the library.

There's a back room no one knows of that I usually will be in when I am alone on lunch or on spare.

Someone else is in there. I realized at the last split second it was too late to turn back as I already turned the handle.

Great now my tear drenched face is doing to be another thing added to the list of insults for people.

"Who is it?"

I walk in and I realized Chanyeol was the one in there. He was calmly reading historical text books. Most probably for some history assignment, duh.

Chanyeol's POV

I'm supposed to be worming on a project I was assigned but I cant. I'm stuck in thought.

Hyeri has become so distant from everyone. Me included. Although she has made a friend that i'm grateful for.

I wish I could be of help to her but things at home are really rough right now. Life is so damn stressful sometimes but I guess Hyeri would know that the best.

I'm reading some lame books in a back room of some sort when I hear sniffling and the door handle turning.

"Who is it?" I called out expecting a response but the person just opened the door no hesitation.

Hyeri....

Her face is all red...

Her eyes are so puffy...

I don't know what came over me but I just did it.

I just did it.

I just did it by instinct with her. I did it because I felt like I could protect her.

I was going to protect her no matter what.

Kind of has you guessing what the hell Chanyeol did right? Whats going through Taehyung's head? Why she wont give Taehyung a chance? Why it keeps confusing everyone?
