Chapter 15

"You what?" I was a little taken back.

"I'm in love with you.. I've been in love with you for a while now..I know I should of just kept it to myself, but I just couldn't. The way I saw you with Luke, it broke my heart. I was waiting for the special day to say this to you, but I just didn't know when. So I'm telling you now. I love you, I love every single bit of you. I started liking you a day after we first ever met, but I decided to keep it a secret. I thought it was something silly, but I guess not. When I am with you, you make my heart flutter. You make me smile like nobody else, and your smile just lights up my whole world. I don't know what you are with Luke, but I don't want to loose you, I want you to be mine, I want there to be more than friendship between us, but I think I'm too late.." I didn't know what to do so i just nodded. I looked down at my hands, while I could feel Micheal's eyes burning into me.

"Michael..I'm sorry..You're a great friend and all, but I wouldn't be able to have a relationship between us..All I see in you his a best friend, more like brother. I'm sorry I just.." I started to stand up and head towards the door. I couldn't take all of this in. My best friend just expressed his undying love for me, I don't know how to react or what to do.

"Lay, wait," Michael grabbed my hand. "I know what I said may have changed the friendship between us, but I don't want it to. I want us to stay best friends, like we were, or a relationship, which I doubt would happen..Please don't change your mind about me in a negative way..Please.." I turned around and faced him. His eyes looked like they were just about to burst open with tears.

"I won't Michael, I promise, I just-I just need a little time to think everything through.." I gave him once last look, and walk through the door. I walk down the steps and onto the path and looked up at the house. He was standing there, he was biting his nails looking at me.

"I'm sorry!" I heard him mumble. I didn't react and just walked off. I can't get everything through my mind properly. I walked back to the bus stop and got on the next bus which would take me back home.

As I opened the front door I heard shouting.

"Why did you tell her?!" Luke shouted into the phone. I walked in and he looked up at me. He sighed and hungup, whilst running his hand through his hair.I walked past him and went to the bedroom and sat down on the bed. I heard Luke come in and he sat next to me. I scooted a little way from him, hoping he would get the message to leave me alone, which he didn't.

"Are you alright?" He spoke softly whilst putting his arm around me. I sighed and shook my head, leaning my head on his chest.

"Does he really like me?" I asked while looking down.

"Yeah.. I think.." He said quietly.

"You're not friends at the moment are you?" He shook his head. "Our relationship is ruining your friendship with your best friend Luke.." I looked down at my hands, twiddling with them. "Maybe we should.." I got cut off.

"No no no, I hope you weren't going to say what I thought you were going to say.."

"Maybe we need a break Luke! You need to sort out your friendship, and us being together will just make it worse!" I felt tears rim at my eyes. Luke looked away from me, running his hand through his hair again. "It won't be for long, it'll just be until things settle down, back to how it was before." I got up followed by Luke. I embraced him in a hug.

"Please don't." I could hear Luke's voice trembling, "Don't, please, I don't want to lose you.." I stepped away and looked up at Luke. He had tears streaming down his face. I wiped them away then gave him a peck on this lips.

"I'll be back before you know it, okay? Just get it sorted between you and Michael. I really don't like the idea that you're eruption in your friendship is because of me. See you soon, okay?" I pecked him on the lips for one more last time while making my way to the bedroom door.

"Okay." I heard Luke mumble, which brought a smile to my face thinking of The Fault In Our Stars.

I didn't know then. I didn't know that the 'Okay' he said to me would be the last thing he would say to me in a while.

I'M SO SORRY. I DONT KNOW WHY I HAVENT BEEN UPDATING. WELL I DO BC I HAVE NO PLOT, BUT IM SO SO SO SORRY. THIS IS A CRAP CHAPTER TOO. IM SORRY IM SORRY IM SORRY! IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH A PLOT IT WOULD BE VERY NICE OF YOU THX HAHAA
