Smile

Chapter 2

Kevin's pov:

~ Time skip ~

I made it home from school with no further incident. I removed my shoes at the front door as well as my quiz bowl hat, mom hated it when I wore it in the house. I sat on the couch and turned on the TV. Flipping through the channels my mind beginning to drift.

I'm going to make Eddward smile. Just the thought makes me smile, but my smile soon faded.

What if he gets mad at my attempts and takes it out on me?

But then again who says he has to know its me?

A plan starts to form in my head. Everyday I will do a little something to get him to smile, everyday until it works. And if/when it does I will tape a note to his locker asking him to meet me. At least if he gets angry he won't know who to take it out on until the very last attempt.

I feel like a giddy 10 year old who just got my first real crush. I begin to jump around like a lunatic trying desperately to come up with an idea worthy enough for my Eddward...My Eddward? Get ahold of yourself Kevin! We still have alot of work to do before even attempting that.

Maybe something sweet? Who doesn't like sweets after all.

Making my way to the kitchen I start the oven and begin to take out the ingredients for chocolate cupcakes. I make them from scratch and once they are frosted I place a chocolate covered strawberry on top of one.

This will be for him.

I smile and find myself excited for the next day. Heading to my room I sit at my desk and finish my homework, it takes me about an hour and a half to complete. I'm not very hungry so I decide to skip dinner. Instead opting to take a shower and go to bed. I feel myself drifting to sleep when one final thought pops into my head.
