At first, Jack was really scared of riding Mirror. After a few minutes up in the air, he was surprised at easy it was. He wasn't sure why he felt at ease. He had a few theories though: one, because he created Mirror. Two, Mirror is a great flyer, she probably got the trait from him. And lastly, maybe it has nothing to do with Mirror. Maybe it was because of a certain queen behind him. He sneaked a glance at Elsa who had one hand on his waist while the other was reaching up to touch the clouds above her, looking happy.

He heard Merida laugh and turned to the other two. Hiccup had apparently been showing Merida what Toothless can do in the wide sky. He watched as they plunged down, almost crashing in the ocean, only for Toothless to fly up. Merida yelled in delight, loving the thrill of adventure. Hiccup noticed him staring and gave him a grin. "Fancy a race?"

Jack immediately shook his head. "No. Nope. Give me at least a few weeks of riding then we can attempt a race."

Hiccup laughed, accepting his reason.

Jack then shook his head, a smile on his face. He then looked straight ahead, thinking of other matters. He needs to be prepared, now that they're complete, he knew Pitch would do anything to stop them. While they still have to figure out how to defeat Pitch, he knew that no matter what happens, Pitch would have to kill him first before he lays a hand on his new friends.

"Hey, Jack. We've been flying for a day, I think it's time to set up camp." Hiccup said he steered Toothless nearer to Jack, breaking his train of thought.

Jack nodded while Mirror flew lower along with Toothless. "How many days till we get to Southern Isles?"

Hiccup thought it over. "I'd say two more days. For now we can rest here." He pointed at an island that was getting nearer. "I can go to Berk by myself to grab other supplies and by tomorrow morning, we can get back on track."

Elsa, listening to the conversation, spoke up. "Berk? What's it like there?"

"It's full of horrible, chasing dragons." Jack replied causing Hiccup to roll his eyes while Mirror let out a low growl. "Don't worry, Mirror. You're not like them, you're amazing." Mirror hummed happily while Elsa laughed.

Merida couldn't help but comment. "What a smooth talker you are, Jackie."

Jack gave her a smug smile. "I know." He then turned to Hiccup, "Are you sure you don't need us coming with you to Berk?"

Hiccup nodded. "It's better to be quick about it. I don't want to cause a commotion. I'll just grab a few things and exchanged a few words with my dad and Astrid."

Jack nodded in understanding. "Yeah. I really don't want to see blondie again."

They landed on the island safe and sound. Based on Hiccup's map, it was only a few miles away from Berk, making it convenient. "Okay, guys. Welcome to my turf. We can set camp here." He started removing the supplies from Toothless. "No need to worry about stray dragons. They don't usually come here."

Everyone proceeded to set up camp. Since it was a nice night out, they all turned down Elsa's suggestion of making a shelter for them using her ice powers, and instead decided to lie under the stars. All of them were doing their own task: Hiccup was tendign the campfire while Elsa laid down their cots. Merida was at the other side, keeping the dragons company while Jack gathered some fresh fruit he found in the trees.

In a few minutes, they huddled around the fire, all warm and comfortable. Jack was passing out the fruit and kept the rest to eat for later. As they munched on their food, Hiccup spoke up. "Are you guys still hungry? There's a nice fishing spot here."
