"Ki Seung? You wanted" my good friend and colleague Mia called out to me,
"Thank you Mia~" I hummed out sweet words.
I walked into my managers office only to be greeted by an indignant expression with cold and soulless eyes.
"Ki Seung...have you heard about the crash that occurred on 96 Harlem way?" I froze with a great and major feeling of revolt 'of course I would know, I was...involved in the crash...I'm the reason Do Kyungsoo is hospitalised,'
"yes sir...the crash resulted in a major civilian injury, I know all about it" I stood there as I let my head hang low.
"Good...I want you to write a 30 page essay on it and be in my office to 2 days" his eyes turned from cold to disingenuous in seconds which sent chills down my back as I swallowed the boulder In my throat "y-yes sir!"
The way out of work was dark and quiet, no car driving by, no person on their way out of a nightclub drunk and stunk of the pungent smell of liquor, it was...almost...dead. I slowly made my way back to my apartment in calm but dark night only for the beautiful moon herself to make an appearance as the clouds opened up and the rain hit like a baseball colliding with the bat.
"You have got to be kidding me right now!" My tired and painful legs used all their spare energy to make my way home faster but as soon as I made my way passed a car that was identical to mine, I couldn't help but replay the memory of the man that I have broken and how he has no reason to be in there if I didn't do nothing...I'm such a horrible person.
"I'm...I'm a monster...for ruining his life."
