Big Step Forward

Missed calls from P'Arthit never made him this uneasy. But he brought himself together and called back. It was already 8 so Arthit was at his apartment. He immediately took the call, within a blink.

"Hello Kong, where are you? Why didn't you pick my calls? You where not at college, Aim said you took half day and then you didn't pick my calls. I was worried to death! Why are you so irresponsible!! "
Arthit went on and on with no stop. He was worried.

"Oh P', it's nothing. I just slept and about the half day, my sisters came to meet so I came to my room with them "
Explained Kong.

Arthit was relived, but he felt something wrong.
"Kong, are you alright? Did something happen with them? "

Kong was speechless, he didn't say a word for a minute but when he was about to reply, Arthit cut him.

"It's okay if you don't feel like telling " said Arthit. There was warmth, love and patience in his voice.

"It's... It's not like that P'.. It's just I was tired and they never told me that they were coming today." Said Kong, hiding his stress.

"You tell me P',how was your day?"

This time Arthit was quite. The silence made Kong restless.

"What is it P'? Hello?  Tell me!"
Zoomed Kong.

"Um.. Nothing.. It's nothing, it's just my seniors gave me transfer order today. I don't know, I applied to stay here but they said they are shifting me. Believe me Kong I resisted but at last I am just an employee"
Said Arthit with sadness in his voice.

"Transfer? What transfer? Didn't your company say that you won't be swifted, huh?  What about that."

"I know but they said it's from higher bodies, some new company allied with us, ASD LT. PVT. "

Kong was dumbstruck. The company was familiar. It was not other then his father's company or better sister's. He never thought she would this much just to take him away from his brother's sight.

"But P', you are going to leave me alone then? When are you leaving? "
There was clingy ness and sadness in his voice. His mind was blank, the thought about P' leaving him made him cry. He had no idea what was going to happen next. Only thing that filled his head was Arthit, his P'.

"Oh yeah!  I am leaving next week  so.. I was thinking if we could spend the week together. If you are free of course. "

How could Kong decline. He straight away said yes and they planned to stay at Arthit's apartment.

The following day, as usual, Kong woke up early but the only difference was he never slept that night. He was restless. His P' was about to leave him, the word 'leave' gave him goose bumps. He showered and lift the house with a bag. On his way he took some breakfast. Soon he reached Arthit's apartment. It was somewhat like 8 AM. Kong knocked but then realized it was P' inside and it's 8 in the morning, he must be asleep,  so he took spear key and was about to open the door when it suddenly open. It was Arthit in his shorts and T-shirt. He was shocked. P'Arthit woke up this early, obviously there must me something. But then realized he had dark circles. He couldn't sleep too.

Kong invited himself in and placed the breakfast at the table. Meanwhile Arthit took shower, arranged his room and hide the lying stuff on his bed. Food was on the table. They were about to eat when suddenly Kong's phone ringed. It was still early for anyone to call. Kong checked the caller ID and excused himself. It was Pao.

"Good Morning my little brother, how's everything going"
Said Pao.

'It was good until you interfered'
Thought Kong but he was in no mood arguing or you can say he didn't dare to.
