I recollect my thoughts after what seems to be forever and I am alone again in this room for what seems like the one thousandth time since my coma. I just as I start to pity myself being left alone with no memory and no identity Niall comes in and sits next to me on my bedside. We just sit there in silence for a while and I'm glad he's here as company.

"I owe you an explanation" he says, his eyes searching mine for some sort of reaction.

"A lot of people do but this is a good start" I manage a small smile hopefully assuring him that I am grateful.

He begins, "I only have known you for a couple of months, You came to Ireland on a college semester abroad with some friends. We met a a local bar that I always go to in Dublin, your name is Teagan O'Reilly but all of your friends called you Teags or T." I wait for him to explain why he is here and not my friends because it seems that we are merely strangers.

I begin the conversation again and ask, "Where you and your band playing at the bar?" He chuckles and shakes his head no, he further elaborates replying shyly, "My uh band and I play at uh bigger venues I guess you could say...".

"That's nice" I say then add "So where are my said friends, and are we friends?" I ask drifting off into space at the end hoping he didn't hear the last part because I am thoroughly embarrassed.

" First, your friends wanted to be here but you teacher or guide or whatever told them that they had to go to London to get credit for a class " his accent is so gorgeous and deep I can't contain my envy.

"And as for me, well we kind of connected and I think I really like you and I think you liked me to... but I guess now we won't know" he says a frown creeping on to his face.
