Simon and Leo were at a cafe drinking coffee as they waited for Clary to come and tell them if she got in or not to the school of her dreams. She is so talented that Leo was sure Pablo Picasso would be begging for lessons from her. There was no doubt in his mind that she got in.

Leo took a sip of his latte while Simon was on his twitter account. Leo saw Clary come in with an unhappy exterior which shocked him because he was certain she would get in.

"Give me the Professor's name and I will end him," Simon threatened but Clary gave him a doubtful glare. "And send an email to the Dean," Simon finished his weak threat. It caused Leo to laugh since as he knew Simon would be too scared to actually face the Professor himself.

"Don't bother," She said and put the letter on the table. Leo took it before Simon could get to it which earned a glare that he gladly returned with a playful smile in victory.

"You little piece of shit. The sad face, really Clarissa?" Leo teasingly asked as he knew she hated being called by her birth name. He and Simon both gave her a fist bump to which she laughed.

"Yes, Leonardo. I had to since we both know that the Fray's are great actors and artists. I also wanted to see your guy's reactions," She confessed while he gave her a glare himself as he to did not like being called by his birth name.

"You know what's weird is that they kinda like my assigned work but they flipped for our drawings for our graphic novel," She revealed as she showed them the pictures in her sketchbook. Leo played it cool as a cucumber but he was internally freaking out. He knew the protection was starting to wear off but as the time came near it was starting to make him panic.

"You're welcome," Simon smugly comments as he pointed at her with a smile.

"This day will go down as the greatest eighteenth birthday I have ever had," She said with so much excitement that Leo wished she could keep forever. Once she joins the Shadow World it was going to be hard to feel carefree as she is now.

"Clary, this will be your only eighteenth birthday," He corrected her like the smartass he was.

"Shut up. Fine, for being stood corrected, this will be one of the best birthdays I have ever had. Better?" She asked him with a pointed look.

"Much better," He answered with a smirk and went back to looking through her drawings.

"Which is why we are celebrating tonight. Yes, with Maureen after our show," Simon said while the barista brought back more drinks and biscottis.

"So, what is the deal with you and Maureen?" She asked with a teasing smirk.

"What deal? No deal. We just sing together," Simon denied while drinking his coffee.

"Simon you are cute, she is cute and it is obvious that she likes you. If you were gay and asked me out on a date I wouldn't say no if you had been a stranger," Leo attempted to encourage him which caused Simon to blush at the compliment.

"You seriously don't know she has been crushing on you this whole time?".

"What no, no." He denied again with no facial expressions or quirks indicating that he really cares if Maureen liked him.

Leo knew that he has been crushing on Clary since forever but he couldn't see them together. It's not that he disapproves of Simon but Clary has unintentionally friend-zoned Simon more times then he could count on both hands. Leo thought getting with Maureen could help Simon get over the feelings he has for Clary.

"Simon, how can someone as smart and perceptive as you do not realize that the person sitting right there is in love with you?" She asked which made Leo cringe at the irony.

"I guarantee you, that Simon is not the only smart perceptive person to make that mistake," Leo remarks and as a result, Simon nudged him with a glare, and Clary raised her eyebrows in confusion.

She looked at the table weirdly and Simon told her something about a latte. "I could have sworn that I had a biscotti, " She announced bewildered as she looked down at the table.

"Maybe you have eaten it without realizing it. It happens to me all the time when I am happy and when I am sad," Simon continued which caused them to laugh and went on to talk about random things.
