Renee cleared her throat, as the three women entered the room, hating to break up the precious & touching moment, that they are witnessing, but the good doctor had a job to do. "Hate to break up the precious moment, but I need to examine my patient," She concentrated hard, as she was doing this, so she didn't miss a thing. When she concluded her exam, she put her stethoscope back around her neck, & asked the important question, "Steve, How do you feel ?", The Former Seal looked at Charlie, & was careful with his chosen words, & thought about it, croaking out with a chuckle, "Like I got hit by a big truck", Everyone chuckled at his answer, & Renee smiled, & nodded at his answer, "Good guess there, Commander".
Renee gave Steve his medication, & checked her watch, she was off duty now officially, & she said, "If you don't mind, I am gonna go spend some time with my man, & kids", she left them alone to their privacy. "Boss, It's so good to see you awake, & talking", Kono said with a smile, as she leaned down, & kissed him on his forehead, which made the seal smile. "It's good to be seen", Steve said, & took a sip of the water that his lover had offered to him. "You were seriously missed, McGarrett, We don't know what we would do, If you didn't come back to us", Amy said, as she kissed his cheek. They spent some more time together, before the women took the kids home, leaving Danni there, so she can spend some time with him, before she leaves.
After the kids, Amy, & Kono left, The Blond held on to his hand, & said, "You are the most important thing in the world to me, along with the kids, Got it ?", Steve smiled, & answered, "Same here", & they kissed in between talking, Danni lets out a yawn, & Steve saw it, The Five-O Commander said this, as a response. "Danni, Why don't you go home & rest, Babe ?, I'll be fine," She was not sure yet, & Steve said this to soothe, & put her mind at ease, so she wouldn't worry about him, while he is recovering in the hospital.
"I hate to leave you, Baby, You need someone to be here for you, So you can recover properly, & not be stressed out", The Former Seal said insisting, "I will be okay, Sweetie, I promise to be good, Cause we have that romantic weekend to look forward to". "Mmmmm, Yes we do," Danni said, as she planned a kiss on his dry, & parched lips. Steve said to her serious, "Babe, You need to rest, I will be fine, I love you". They shared a kiss, & she said softly, "I will see you tomorrow", & he nodded, & she left to get some proper rest for the first time in awhile. Steve let the medication, that Renee put in his IV work, & he fell asleep peacefully, No nightmares had hit him.
Amy smiled, as Danni came through the door a couple of hours later, as she was on the couch reading on the couch, "It's nice to see you smile again". Danni said with a bigger smile, "I have a reason to now, Ames, I have every reason to". She sat next to her best friend, & enjoying the quiet time that had descended on them. Then, The Manager said, "We got a lot to take care of, Before your semi-retirement", & they went straight to bed, so they can get some decent amount of sleep, so they can focus the next day.
