Brunhild POV

To be perfectly honest perfection scares me. If two people are the 'perfect' couple, there is no room for improvement. There is no room to better themselves, and to me, that's more terrifying than dying. Maybe that's why I don't have any friends, I'm terrified of being the 'perfect friends'. Silly I know, but for me if I have no room for improvement, well, I'm already dead.

Maybe Nora and I can be 'almost perfect' friends.

"Please?" She asked grabbing my shoulder.

"Sure." I replied bluntly turning to face her (when do I not reply bluntly?). I had just made my first friend, and I felt something I hadn't felt in awhile. Happiness.

"I'm Bunny's friend! I'm Bunny's friend!" She cheered in a childish nature.

Yeah, we won't be what people call 'perfect friends'. I thought with a smile. We're complete opposites.

Just then a boy ran up ruining our moment. I think I saw him in one of my classes, but I can't be certain.

"Nora!" He called out,"We're going to miss the bus!"

"Oh! Sorry Henry!" She said to the boy apparently named 'Henry'. "See you tomorrow Bunny!"

"Yeah." For what felt like the first time I was looking forward to 'tomorrow'.

I turned around to walk my 'just under a mile' walk home, and guess what! I was smiling, for the first time since that fateful day.

I looked down at my colorful bracelet. It's funny how the most beautiful things come at such a price...

"Mom!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Brunhild, please, run. She'll get you too..."

"Who? Mommy, I'm not leaving you."

"You have to. Take this," she handed me a colorful bracelet. "It'll protect you."

It scared me how I didn't look back to the place were the Yemo massacre was set into action. As far as I know, I'm the only survivor, but my sister was never found.

"Wait!" Nora yelled as I turned away, "Here's my number. Call me tonight! Bye Bunny!" She finally ran to her bus.

She's going to miss that one day.

With that I walked away to the mistake of my life. What you ask? I called her (surprisingly; I hate phone calls).

Sorry I'm late, it's a tad bit short, but I couldn't think of anything to extend it. Thanks for reading!
