[Akari's POV]
I slowly walked out of the school gates and found Mino leaning against the wall, waiting for me. "About timeeee", he groaned. "Sorry. Kyo got in the way", I sighed. Hearing this, a smirk grew on his face, making me raise a brow. "What?". "Nothing~ Just that you two have been arguing since the beginning of school. Get together already", he chuckled. "Tsk.. never", I growl. "Geez, not like the things he says hurt you that much. I mean, the things he already call you don't even phase you", he said. "...mom..", I mumbled quietly, not audible at all. "Hahh? Speak louder", he said, putting his hand to cup his ear.
"..he said I don't have a mom.. and I don't even recognize or remember mom at all..", I mumbled, my head cast down.[Mino's POV]
Sure.. we didn't have a mom, nor did we remember her since we were so young, and the doctor said we lost some memory from when the accident happened. I've only seen high school photos of her from dad's album, but the most recent photo was when they were around 30. Dad said she didn't see a point of photos of her since he would see her everyday.. but yea.. that's not true.
"Hm.. well, it's fine. He doesn't know a thing", I said, patting her head of hair. "I guess..", she mumbled. "Alright, c'mon. Follow your Nii-san Home", I chuckled as I began to walk.
"Nii-san? You're only 2 minutes older than me", she rolled her eyes, but a chuckle escaped from her lips.[3rd Person's POV]
As the two siblings walked into their grand house, they were greeted with their familiar dad. Sitting on the couch, dealing with bills, Yukimura glanced up. "We're back", the two said in unison, out of politeness. "What took you guys so long? You're 30 minutes later than usual", he said, setting down the bills. "Akari was too busy talking to her boyfriendddd~", Mino teased, taking a seat next to his dad. "GEEZ! HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!", the girl shouted.
"Hai hai, calm down", Yukimura chuckled. "Ah, but I also met this woman, too", Akari said, taking a seat across from the two. "Woman?", the two raised a brow. "Yea! She had a hoodie on, so I didn't see her face. But she had long hair, and had a duffle bag like she's a traveler, or backpacker", Akari explained. "What did she need?", Mino asked. "She said she use to go to school there. And apparently, we both had the same shoe locker", she continued. "Oh, that's cool.. I guess?", Mino commented.
"Yea, I guess. She also bumped into Kyo and I bickering and she said, 'You should call the girl you like an old hag', or something like that".[Yukimura's POV]
'Hm.. haha.. old hag.. such nostalgia, haha.. when I use to call Mashiro that'
"What are you smiling about dad?", Akari asked. "Nothing, just some memories are running through my mind"
The next day soon came, and after dropping the two at school, I made my way over to KP Square (A/N: *smirkk* from the original series ~). I had to pick up some groceries and a few supplies Akari needed for her project. It's been itching me all day.. but I felt like someone was following me.. watching me, in fact..
As I walked through the plaza, I slightly turned around every so often... no one. I decided to say I'm being paranoid and went to ignore it, but after about an hour, the feeling grew stronger. Walking back to the car, the feeling of someone behind me was strong.. I decided to do the old 'Quick Glance' move.
Just a few seconds after, I quickly turned my head around and looked back. My eyes grew wide.. It wasn't more than a second, but I couldn't sworn I saw Mashiro.
Wearing a dark grey hoodie that covered her face, the person turned around and began to run.
'I-It has to be impossible.. it is.. but I still want to find out', I thought to myself and began to run in the direction. As I ran, I caught sight of her running off in the crowd. The hair that hung out was a very familiar brown.. the style of clothes they wore were very familiar to someone I know..
Seconds after running.. I lost sight of her. With such a crowd, she blended right in. 'Hah.. That can't be Mashiro.. Mashiro's.. gone.. the doctor told me himself..', I thought to myself and turned away, making my way back to the car.[Mashiro's POV]
*pant* *pant* *pant*
"...sh*t.. he almost cau-caught.. me..", I mumbled through my tired pants. Leaning on the wall in an alley way, I calmed myself to catch my breath. "..you still got your street fighter instincts.. haha.. knowing that I was watching.. Ojiisan...", I chuckled to myself.
"Hm.. but looks like you're doing pretty well.. is it time..? No.. maybe I should wait a bit longer..", I sigh to myself as I walked down the alley, disappearing from the heavy and annoying crowd.[Yukimura's POV]
'It can't be.. I must've mistaken the person for someone else.. but.. why was the person following me anyways..'
"Oiiiiii! YU-KI-MUR-A!", a familiar voice brought me back to reality. Snapping me out of my daze, I find the gang all staring at me. It was my day off, so I decided to call up Hikaru, Daisuke, Keita, Kazu, and Mako for lunch.
"Ah.. sorry", I shook my head. "What's with you? Something happen?", Mako asked. "Must be work. Don't stress yourself so much, its bad for your heart", Hikaru said.
"No.. it's not that", I muttered. "Then what is it?", Daisuke tilted his head. "..Someone was watching, or following, me today at KP Square. When I turned around, I saw a glimpse of them. It looked like... Mashiro..", I told them, causing them to look at me with widened eyes.
"Mashiro? Are you sure?", Keita asked. "but.. that's impossible right..?", Kazu stares at me. "Of course it's impossible.. it can't be..", I mumbled.
'It can't... right...?'
