Gerard's P.O.V
Mikey and I were standing outside of the bus when we heard April letting out a small pitiful cry of despair.
"No." We heard Frank said cool and collected.
"No, what do you mean no? Please just give me an answer!" April begged breathing heavily.
"I can't give you an answer unless you give me an answer," he answered.
I couldn't take hearing her cry anymore so we walked in and everything immediately stopped as soon as we opened the bus door.
April was laying on the couch and Frank was sitting at the small counter drinking a coffee as usual... no wonder why he's so damn short.
"So what's happening Frank?" I asked as he put his cup down on the counter.
"SH!" He cautioned me pointing at April.
"Right... I know she's not asleep!" I said in a normal voice.
"Dude! She's trying to sleep!" he said sitting next to the 'sleeping' April.
I rolled my eyes and pulled Mikey with me to the bunks.
I needed to find out what was up with them. Frank has never hidden anything from me as long as he had held that secret.
I turned to Mikey at that point to advise a plan...
April's P.O.V
I looked up as Mikey and Gee left the room and saw Frank smiling at me. I didn't know what to make of the situation and I definitely didn't enjoy watching Gerard be lied to.
He sat down next to me again and I quickly sat up.
"Great acting!"He praised me.
"I have had many opportunities to practice, believe me!"
Frank looked at me as if he didn't understand what I meant.
I took a deep breath and asked myself if I really, truthfully wanted to tell Frank about the things I had encountered. I remembered pretending to sleep when I was younger so that my foster parents wouldn't abuse me. I found at a young age that sometimes if I was lucky enough I wouldn't be dragged into abuse while I was asleep. Occasionally my foster father would take his rage out on me after getting into a fight with my foster mother, but usually he left me alone at that point. She never really did anything to me. My foster mother was quiet. We were both held captive and he knew it. Part of me wanted to feel bad for her but I never really did. I know its mean but why should I care about someone who watched me be beaten? I couldn't tolerate it, I wouldn't, and so I told Frank everything I hadn't already told everyone. From the bad to the absolute worst.
Frank sat with his mouth agape and looked down at my scarred arm. He seemed surprised and very disturbed at my life.
"I'm sorry..." here said quietly.
"Its alright!"I assured him."You guys saved me and for that I thank you for everything! Without you... I don't know where I would be. I could be starving t death or even already dead!"
"My pleasure April! I'm tired now though. I gotta go to bed, sorry!" He said giving me a friendly embrace.
"It's fine. I'm right behind ya!"I said yawning.
