Chapter 2: Party

I woke up and got ready for school, today was finally Friday! Today everyone was going to the party that my friends were having.

I walked into my English class and saw Brent sitting down, "Hey Brent" I said with a smile.

"Hey Callie" he smiled back.

"Are you going to the party tonight?" I asked.

"Yea I guess, I mean I have nothing to do today"

"Me too" I said smiling. I tended to smile a lot around him, it felt weird.

At lunch, I sat down next to Lexi. I wasn't hungry, so I sat down and went on my phone. I saw Brent coming, I smiled and he smiled back. Lexi looked at us, she gave us that "You guys like each other but haven't told each other yet" look.

"Lexi" I said.

"What?" she said laughing, I laughed along.

After school, I got home and took a nap. Suddenly my alarm went off, it was 7:30 p.m. I had to get up and get ready for the party. I curled my hair a little, and put on light makeup. For my outfit, I put on my floral skater skirt, a white v-neck tucked in and my white converse. I sprayed my favorite perfume, grabbed my purse and left the house.

As soon as I got to the party my boyfriend dragged me to the bathroom. He was doing cocaine, I tried some. My friend was knocking on the door, "open the door!" she said.

"Stop being so annoying!" my boyfriend said opening the door. As I was snorting it, I noticed the door was still open, I saw Brent looking at me.

"Dude! Close the door!" I yelled at my boyfriend.

Brent's POV

Once I got to the party, I wanted to look for Callie. "yo, where's Callie?" I asked my friend.

"She's upstairs" he said giving me a look. I ignored it, I went upstairs and saw a door open. I was about to enter when I saw Callie snorting something, I looked at her, I knew she was only doing it because she wants to hurt herself. She looked at me then started to yell at someone and closed the door. I hated seeing her do this to herself.

I went back downstairs and grabbed a drink. a few minutes later I heard screaming, I went to go look and it was Callie and her boyfriend fighting.

"Don't fucking tell me what to do!" She said.

"Bitch I could tell you what to do if I want to!" he said pushing her and making her fall on the floor. That's when I got into a fight with him.

"Don't touch her jerk!" I said punching him in the face, I saw as he fell to the ground, his nose started to bleed.

"Your gonna pay for this asshole" he said.

"Come on Callie!" I said grabbing her hand and running out the door to my car.

"You didn't have to do that Brent" she said.

"Yes I did" I said. Once we got to her house she looked at me and said, "Thank you so much Brent" and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"No problem Callie"

Callie's POV

I gave Brent a kiss on the cheek before getting out of his car. I think Brent is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met!

I entered my house but nobody was home. I went up to my room and started to take off my makeup and change into my pjs. I heard a knock on the door, I went downstairs to go open it without even asking who it was.

"Come here you little bitch!" my boyfriend said to me while grabbing my hair.

"Stop it! let go of me!"

"I don't know who that kid was but your going to pay for this!" he said. A few seconds later he punched me in the face leaving me a bruise on my cheek bone. I started to cry as I touched my face, it hurt a lot. I can't believe he just did that to me. I was on the floor crying as he left and slammed the door shut.

-Monday-

I still had the bruise from Friday, it still looks the same except it wasn't swollen anymore.

I got to my English class and sat down. I tried to hide my bruise but it was hard.

"Callie, what happened? Why do you have a bruise on your face?" Brent asked worriedly.
