"I'm saying this not because I care about you-"

"Oh well thanks for making that clear," I interject with annoyance.

"-but because I have to be seen with you." Micah states seriously.

"You've been here like a day," Benjamin agrees, "Trust us when we say he's a fucking creep."

"How is he creep?!" I defend my new friend.

"You've met him, right?" Dalton scoffs, "Dude's weird."

"That doesn't make him a creep." I shake my head.

"Does he even have a car?" Steve questions no one in particular.

"I hate to say it but they're all right," Brandon shakes his head.

"Really? I did not ask any of you!" I state loudly.

"Stop being so stubborn." Benjamin shakes his head.

"You're being stupid!" Micah blurts out.

"Just because-" I begin to shout.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Kieth comes in trying to calm everyone down.

"Go to hell, Micah Brown!" I snap.

"Hey!" Wyatt frowns at me as he joins us, " Language."

"Tell them to mind their own business," I defend.

"Whatever," Micah rolls his eyes, " You can catch a ride with Steve from now on."

"Not so fast." Kieth calls to Micah as he begins to leave the kitchen, "What's the issue here?"

"They think they can tell me who I can and can't be friends with." I quickly point the finger.

Wyatt and Kieth turn toward the guys for their side.

"It's not like that," Benjamin defends.

"The guys a fucking slime ball!" Brandon adds.

"Why? What's he done?" Kieth presses.

"Nothing!" I answer for them.

Kieth puts a finger up towards me to quiet me, which annoys me even further.

"He's a freak. Bottom line." Benjamin states.

"Okay so there's nothing wrong with him?" Wyatt asks.

"Listen. I don't care. She can hang out with whoever. I'm just not gonna be seen associated with them." Micah asserts.

"Good." I reply.

"Good." He retorts unnecessarily before heading to his room.

We're all quiet for a moment before Dalton continues.

"You have to admit, going home with him was probably not the best idea."

"Wait what?!" Wyatt snaps his head toward me.

"Hold on a minute," Kieth turns to look at me, "You went home with him?"

"He was my ride home," I say simply.

"Does he even have a car though?" Steve repeats.

"Yes." I lie.

"Wait, no he doesn't," Benjamin denies, "I've seen him walking home before."

Everyone turned to look at me but I just cross my arms. I don't even have to look up to see how mad Kieth and Wyatt are, I can hear them both sighing deeply trying to gain the patience to deal with me.
