It was day one of college at Boston College University (BCU) and I was so anxious. My first day in a new school , who knows how it's going to be like. Thank God I have my ride or die boo with me. Diamond.

Also my significant other Keshawn, my brother from another mother Jaquan, and of course my other bloodline Devin.

We all decided to stay in our own crib cause it would be more convenient for us. Especially since Devin is staying with us as he hides out from my dad.

He couldn't go to school because he didn't want to put his name out but he was working for a warehouse that his brother told him about. Very low key so it was safe for him.

I on the other hand was studying for entrepreneurship and Diamond finally decided to study Law since her ass loved to debate and investigate any and everything.

Keshawn was playing basketball but also studying to do Journalism as his plan B. I was super proud of him because he came such a long way. In his career and our relationship.

Jaquan was also doing basketball and studying psychology. You already know him and Diamond were hitting it off.

We all were just living our lives trying to make it through this crazy ass life of ours.

I walked through the hallways and seen how everyone prided in the school. Everyone walking around with the school colors, red and gold.

I passed and seen the cheerleaders posted on the wall and yelling the theme cheer for the school.

"WE POPPIN, WE COOL"
"WE TAKE PROUD IN OUR SCHOOL"
"WE BLEED OUT RED AND GOLD"
"CAUSE THE EAGLES ARE SO BOLD"
"AND IF YOU STEP UP TO US"
"WE PROMISE YOU'LL BE DUST"
"GO HEAD!!...GO HEAD!!...GOOO EAGLES!!"

The whole crowd applauded and so did I. I wanted to do cheerleading in high school but all the drama was from those girls that did cheer so I always stuck to the dance team but I think I want to give it a shot since I really wanted to cheer my baby on when he's on the court.

I walked up to the sign up sheets and it was already a long list of girls but I wrote my name down in confidence.

In high school everyone seen me as the Ciara of the dance team. Which was true , I grew up watching and dancing to Ciara's music so I mimicked a lot of stuff she did which is where I got my style from.

"Hey what's your name?!" A girl about 5'6 said to me. She favored a lot of Christina Milian. I'm guessing she was the captain of the cheer squad.

"Hey I'm Promise" I said shyly.

"Aww that's a cute name!! My name is Unique but everyone calls me Nicki. This is Catherine and Rashonda" she said introducing the two girls next to her. One was Latina and the other just looked African American.

"Hey we see that you signed up for tryouts and we just want you to feel comfortable when you tryout today. We look forward to seeing you today after school" Rashonda said.

I smiled and then felt arms come around me. I turned and seen it was Diamond.

"Yo you trying out for this?" She asked me and I already knew where this was going.

As y'all know Diamond is VERY protective over me. Every time she seen something fishy she was always quick on her toes.

"Yeah do you wanna tryout? It's free for anybody" Nicki said to Diamond.
