Promise POV
*Still in flashback*

The next day Diamond, Riri, and I walked into the cafeteria waiting for all the girls to finish looking at the sheets. There were so many girls surrounded we couldn't even get through.

Finally we made it to the front and all 3 of us jumped and cheered once we seen our names.

"Are you guys excited?"

"Excited is an understatement" I said and Diamond agreed.

"Congratulations fresh meats , usually freshman's don't make it on the first try but you guys had something special" she said to Diamond and I.

Then she turned to Riri and smirked. Then whispered something in her ear then walked away laughing.

Riri just scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"What was that all about?" Diamond asked.

"Nothing girl let's just go get the list of cheers they have on the desk for us to practice" Riri said and we headed straight to the gym

Keshawn POV

"You want the same thing right baby?" I asked Promise once we entered Starbucks.

I had to go to basketball practice in a little bit but I really wanted to spend time with my wife.

It's been crazy ever since we moved to Boston but we've been keeping up with everything.

Spank was still in jail still trying to keep up with his trap house. He would call me and everyone else I worked with at the trap to make sure it was still in business.

I don't want no parts of it because I already see me doing something big with this whole basketball thing or even Journalism.

That's why I always have Promise right next to me supporting me even when I feel like giving up and going back to selling weed.

"Yea babe" she said.

"Alright go ahead and relax I'll be back with the food" I said and she nodded and walked to the same table we sat at every time.

I walked up to the register and she asked me if I was ready to order.

"Yeah I'll get a iced caramel macchiato, 2 butter croissants, and a caramel frappe" I asked the barista and she nodded and smiled at me.

"Your Keshawn Miller right? Number 2 on the basketball team?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah that's me" I said pulling my wallet out to give her my credit card.

"No it's okay it's on the house" she said and smiled.

I gave a confused look and smiled back.

"Thanks.." I said

"No problem it'll be ready in a minute" she said.

I walked back to Promise and sat at the table then just stared at her.

"What?" She said blushing.
