It's the day, the day to escape, so many feelings. There was fear,anxiety,nervous but mostly happy. I met up with Brooke near the cafeteria, waiting for night. We sat at the table,I ended pick pocketing a staff member,I couldn't help taking that 180$ just hanging out there. Then,suddenly at 11:30 pm,Miranda did it,screaming bloody murder, but something wasn't right,she wasn't fake screaming,she was actually screaming. Me and Brooke resisted the urge of checking on her. Then Josh yelled in fake pain but the staff don't know the difference,that means its show time. Me and Brooke waited in the cafeteria,the security guard ran to josh's room holding the single key leaving the door open. I ran into the room,grabbing the first aid kit,a 9 mm handgun and the keys,I also grabbed hanks stash of ramen noodles,candy and some lunch meat sandwiches. Then I grabbed 5 hoodies,one for everyone and one to shred to make blankets but there was 4 blankets already in a duffle bag I grabbed as well,it had canned food and bottled water as well. We ran to the double doors,me and Brooke looked at each other, and nodded,opening them softly then ran to behind the building,opening josh's window stealthily,he climbed out but he fell in the mud,we laughed quietly then checked on Miranda,her door was barricaded she said she didn't wanna go,so she'll stay and then locked her window. We ran to the truck josh bought and we drove away,leaving our pasts and the ward behind us,
