The day after the party Erza woke up in her bed, perplexed by how she ended up there. She recalled the events of last night. Jellal, the party, the wall, Gray smoking. She hated when he smoked, it worried her because she knew the dangers of smoking... Smoking kills, and she didn't want Gray to die. Not yet. She remembered him promising to quit, of course she didn't believe it at first but when he said properly she didn't know why but that was all the reassurance she needed. She then remembered his arms around her body, hugging him close, something she needed at the time, any other time he would be missing limbs. She remembered getting sleepy.
"He carried me all the way home..." She whispered to herself. This brought a rosy tint to her cheeks as she sat up slowly still in her armour. She sighed now realising why she felt uncomfortable through the night, her metal plates digging into her skin. She was somewhat thankful that Gray didn't attempt to change her into her pyjamas but he could have at least taken off her breastplates and gauntlets. She went for the clips seeing them unclipped already. "So he did try..." She mumbled as she took it off as well as her gauntlets and put them into her requipment storage. She looked around the room for some clothes to wear, she wasn't planning on any missions for the next few days, she was doing okay on cash. She finally decided on a black slim skirt down to her knees and a white button up shirt and fixed up her hair. She stepped out the door and Wendy was waiting for her.
"Hi Erza! U-umm Gray is in trouble." She said quietly, while Carla flew eye level with Erza.
"The freakish pervert tried to bed you last night but luckily Lucy caught him in the act of undressing you. He's in prison." Carla explained, the disgust in her voice raining down like acid. Erza's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates and was sprinting out of Fairy Hills down to the prison. As she ran she bumped into Juvia who was of course looking for Gray. She was surprised that Juvia couldn't just sniff him out. Giggling at her private joke as she ran she stopped at the prison doors and knocked.
"Yeah Yeah what is it?" The officer asked.
Erza wasn't sweating or panting, she looked just as she did as she left her room. "I demand you to release Gray Fullbuster from the prison, he was arrested under false terms." She said in her stern tone.
"We will have to ask you about the events of last night, you understand this?" He asked sounding skeptical.
She nods and was soon sitting side by side with Gray being asked about last night.
"When he took me home he had planned to remove my armour plating to ensure a comfortable sleep, I assume this is where Lucy came in and saw you?" I asked Gray who was nodding. The officer freed him from his cuffs, and sent us on our way. Gray holds her hand leading her to a cafe and sits there quietly until the waitress comes over.
"One iced tea and one strawberry cheesecake, please."
Erza's eyes widened and looked up at him in shock then blushed as she pointed to herself, mouth agape and unable to speak. He reached over and shut her jaw with an audible clack of her teeth as he nodded. She couldn't help but smile, Strawberry Cheesecake was her favourite cake in all the world. When she watched the Lacrima Vision her guilty pleasure was watching huge and amazing cakes being made. She loved all cakes but Strawberry cheesecake was the one for her. Gray looked at her smile and smiled himself. A few minutes later his iced tea was sat in front of him, her strawberry cheesecake covered with cream. Her eyes shined like two stars, her tongue poking out to lick her lips as she picked up the stainless steel fork, and sliced through the spongy cake, and lifting it up to her lips. As the cake entered her mouth she held the fork between her lips, cleaning it off with with her mouth, so much so it left her mouth cleaner than it went in. She shuddered with excitement as the cake in her mouth melted into nothingness. With a gulp she smiled contentedly. "Wow... That cake was fantastic..." She said. Her smile disappeared for a moment as Gray pointed out.
"You've only taken one bite, there's so much left to eat Erza." He said calmly as he sipped his tea.
She nodded and cut the cake again, though surprised Gray when she leaned over the table with her hand under the fork to catch any crumbs. "Try some Gray~" she said in a teasing voice. He put his tea down and opened his mouth slowly and reluctantly, he didn't really want to but he knew not to refuse Erza when she was like this. The cake was pushed into his mouth and he took it off the fork, chewing and then swallowing the cake. He glanced at Erza who was waiting for a verdict. "Well Gray~? What's it taste like~?" She asked again in that childish voice. He sat her down again and smiled. "It's a very nice cake Erza but it's yours so I won't eat any more. The rest is all for you." He said quietly, patting her head. She giggled at this and for a moment Gray saw the eight year old Erza in front of him eating away at her delicious cake. He chuckled remembering how much of a messy eater she was back then. He came back to reality and saw Erza's lips covered in a cream frosting. He sighed and reached over with a napkin and wiped the cream away, she leaned forward slightly to help him out a little, her cheeks a rosy red.
"Graaaaaaaaay-Sama~" She said teasingly, joking about how Juvia would always refer to him. "Erza wants another slice..." She whispered in his ear sending shivers down his spine. He called the waitress over and asked for another slice and Erza waited patiently, moving to the side of the booth beside Gray and leaning her head on his shoulder and clung to his arm. He felt awkward doing this but let her have her fun. The waitress brought back two slices.
"For the happy couple," The waitress said with a wink.
Gray looked up at her nervously. "O-oh umm not a couple sorry."
"Awww why not?" Erza whispered and giggled. "We'd look so cute together."
Gray smiled nervously and stroked her hair. He always found stroking her hair relaxing and somewhat exciting for him. Erza looked up at him like a child then he did something without thinking. He leaned down and kissed the tip of her nose. She blushed red and giggle and then traced a finger up his throat, to his chin, then that stern voice came back, though that childish glow never left. "Oh come on... You can do better than that, Gray Fullbuster." She hissed lowly.
He looked around and when no one was looking, stole a kiss from her lips, but then was surprised by the young woman wrapping her arms around her neck so tightly he wasn't getting out any time soon. Her lips pressed more forcefully on his than he did as she kissed him with fervour and passion before passing out in his arms once more. Though this time with her arms locked around his neck. He picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist so she was easier to carry. He got the slices wrapped up and once again he walked her home and next came the trouble in getting her to let go. He tried for a full half hour to no avail. He groaned and sighed, laying in bed with her snuggled up around him. He looked at her peaceful sleeping face, a drunken smile upon her lips. He sighed and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Erza..."
She replied in a tired tone. "Goodnight Gray..." She said then added. "I'm never letting go of you."The previous night, Erza was cuddling with Gray, as she cried but she was thinking. 'Maybe this is where I belong... In Gray's arms... Not Jellal... Is Gray the one for me...'
She felt him begin to stroke her red locks, from root to end, and felt his arm tighten around her waist as he looked into her eyes. 'Yes... I belong here. With Gray...' She thought, glancing at his lips then her cheeks turn red and thought'Kiss me, Gray Fullbuster.'
