Erza woke up in her bed once again, this time with her arms and legs wrapped around her pillow. She smiled and hugged the pillow tighter, though found something tickling her nose. She tiredly opened her chocolate brown eyes and looked down, a mop of hair in her face. She squeaked and pulled away looking at herself. Still dressed, all prim and proper, only lacking her body armour. 'How did he succeed this time, having me clinging to him like a koala?' She thought as her crush opened his eyes slowly. He checked himself over and luckily saw that he was only shirtless. "Stupid stripping habits... Mom..." He whispered thinking to himself. Erza heard him mumbling and looked for his shirt.
"Hmmm..." She groaned as she slipped off her bed and looked around the room, searching for his shirt while he lay there thinking about Ur. She smiles a little and finds his shirt in the corner, how he can throw paper thin fabrics such a distance always confused her. She picked it up and for a moment could smell some of Gray's scent. It was something like Vanilla and probably... Blueberries? She giggled and handed him his shirt.
He looked at Erza with the expression of surprise "Umm what are you doing in my room?" He asked before taking a look at his surroundings. "This is not my room..."
Erza chuckled and sat on the side of the bed. She spoke in a small voice, the events of yesterday afternoon coming back to her, that delicious cake, her childish outbursts, that kiss. She giggled remembering Gray's face when she took over and kissed him deeply. She lay her head on his shoulder and smiled a little. "Gray... Thanks for a fun time yesterday." She said and glanced at the clock, it was late at night but still the same day. "Sorry... Thanks for today, that cake was delicious." She barely breathed her words out and felt an arm around her waist, she leaned into the hold more and looked up at him, while he looked down at her. She felt her cheeks tint pink and then she shifted even closer, her head on his chest, feeling his steady heart beat, she didn't know why but that filled her with joy, Gray was still alive. She gave a small sigh in relief, then Gray started to speak.
Though quiet as if they were in public and he didn't want anyone to hear, it was like he didn't want anyone but Erza to hear this. "You know what would happen if Juvia found out about anything like this happened then she would be so upset. She would try to kill you so many times..." He said while Erza cuddled into him more, for warmth, not out of fear. She merely shrugged and looked out the window.
"Honestly I'm surprised that she hasn't already." Erza said quietly, leaning into the warmth of Gray once more, while Gray tightened his grip slightly for her so she could still feel the cuddle. Erza glanced out the window. "Oh my Mavis... JUVIA!" She shouted and stomped over to the window.
Juvia who was hanging upside down in a tree like a sloth had realised she had been spotted and moved for a hasty retreat though Erza was quicker and pulled her in the room, Juvia looked down in shame.
"Juvia is sorry... Juvia was jealous..." She mumbles looking up at Gray. "Gray-sama... You love Erza?" She asked quietly and sits beside him.
Erza's cheeks flushed red and Gray sighed. "I dunno..." And with that Erza's heart shattered. Gray scrunched up his face, thinking hard. Everything that him and Erza had been through. His mind took him back to after the Grand Magic Games, the balcony. He was confused on what to do about Juvia. She loved him so much but he just didn't feel the same for her. He'd never actually thought about how Erza looked that night, her scarlet hair an almost purple in the night light, tied back in a neat pony tail, wearing a black turtleneck and a blue skirt, black knee socks and red pumps. He smiled remembering that.
He lay back while Juvia stared at him, wanting to ask if he was okay but stayed quiet. Erza sat down beside him and placed her hand in his.
This small gesture, Erza's hand in his sent him back to their childhood, back when Mira was a bad girl and Elfman was wimpy to say the least. He remembered her white bandaid covering her eye, and how she would always sit alone. He remembered that he was like that when he first came to Fairy Tail, the mother figure he had died right in front of him. His small bare feet padded along to the table where Erza sat and plopped himself in the seat opposite. She looked up confused then her cheeks turned bright red.
"Put some clothes on weirdo!" She says covering her other eye. He then looked around for his tshirt and shorts, scrambling to put them on, making him put his shirt on back to front. Erza gave a small smile and walked over, pulling his arms from the sleeves, and spinning it before fixing him up.
"Hi... I'm Gray Fullbuster... I'm an Ice-Make Wizard," The small black haired boy spoke quietly.
Erza smiled and shook his hand firmly. "Hello. My name is Erza and I am a... I think the old person said I have equip magic," She whispered the word 'old' quietly making the two children giggle.
"That sounds really cool! Wanna go to the river! We could show each other our magic!" Gray said, sounding rather excited. Erza nodded and took his hand, running to the door. The ran for five minutes, by the time they reached a quiet spot Gray was exhausted while Erza was scoping the scene if this was a good place or not, after deciding it was she sat on the grass and patted the ground beside her. He flopped beside her making her giggle and pat his back."I do love her..." he said, his eyes widened. Juvia smiled happily and Erza looked at him in shock. That shock then turned into joy and she hugged him tightly. Juvia however looked away giggling.
"Gray-sama..." She started, still facing away, then looked right at him. "You've made your decision, and Juvia has made hers." She said walking out the door, letting a tear fall down her cheek. Gray winced and clutched his heart. Was this sympathy for the water mage? No, he's felt sympathy before and it's never been that painful. Nor guilt. Erza looked at him concerned and put her hand on top of his hand over his heart and smiled gently.
"It's okay, Gray, I'm right here with you, always, remember? I promised to you that I would be there for you." She whispered gently into his ear, once again sending shivers down his spine. He mouthed something and pulled her down into a soft and tender kiss. Her chocolate eyes widened and stared at him in shock as their lips touched, connected even. After the shock subsided she slowly shut her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss. It was shaky and poor at first though as the kiss went on their lips moved together, dancing and she pulled away panting for breath. "G-Gray, wow... I never... Can I have another?" She asked furtively and looked at him his black hair still spiked up even on the bed laying sideways, how much gel he must have to use to do that makes Erza giggle before leaning in for another kiss. This time they knew how to kiss each other and the two connected like two pieces of a puzzle. Gray pulled away this time and whispered in Erza's ear making her squeal a little, the tingles down her back too much to bear for her but she still listened closely.
"I love you Erza 'Titania' Scarlet."
