The Dream Catcher {Rewrite}

One

When the boat finally got there around 3pm Riley and I had already met up with our friend Erin Patterson; a girl our age with carmel coloured hair and hazel eyes. Her light skin was dotted with freckles, and she had a passion for wearing autumn colours. "Hey." Erin said as we approached her seats where she sat with her twin brother Kyle. We each sat down and I grabbed my phone. I pressed play on the first song that I saw, 'Fight Song' by Rachel Platten came on and Kyle groaned in annoyance. Kyle was all for a song about standing up for yourself, but he wasn't for ones about breakups, especially now. Recently he had to break up with his girlfriend because of our off land training. She told him she'd be waiting, but we all know that 2 years from now he'll have forgotten all about her and moved on. The boat started to rock and I felt a little sick. Soon enough my bagel was all over the boat floor, and I was red as a tomato. Riley rubbed my back and Erin went to get a person to clean up the deck; Kyle was in the bathroom, probably coping me. Eventually Erin came back and a man cleaned up the mess, but I could hear the whispers. No matter how hard I tried to ignore them, I couldn't stop hearing the way they spoke about me behind my back. 'Did you see that?' 'Thats disgusting!' 'Ew! Puke Girl!' You hear that, Alaska, your puke girl now. My mind seemed to say, the boat rocked again, almost as if the sea was taunting me; 'guess what I can make you do' it seemed to call 'I'm ready to ruin your life' because it was true, one bad word about me getting to the NASA staff could ruin my entire future...

Dear Diary,

That was humiliating. Of all the things to do as a first impression, I just had to throw up on the boat.... Lovely. I miss my dad, and if the puke incident gets back to the NASA staff, I'll never be able to be a pilot. I just hope this all blows over,
