As the crowded square cheered on Henry, for his successful "magic trick", Regina mills found herself gazing towards her previous nemesis, Emma Swan.
Previous being the key word.
A few weeks ago Regina's boyfriend had been murdered, murdered by a cruel, ruthless god by the name of Hades.
Robin had supposedly been her true love. He was the man with the lion tattoo, the man that tink had promised was Regina's future.
But a while before Robin died, Regina had found herself thinking less about him, and more about Emma swan, her sons biological mother.
She couldn't explain it. She couldn't explain how that whenever Emma talked to her, she didn't know what to say.
She couldn't explain that when she saw Emma walk, her breath hitched, and her eyes couldn't leave Emma's hips.
She couldn't explain why she kept dreaming about her.
Regina felt guilty. Robin was dead. She should be in so much more pain. When Daniel had died, Regina had closed off her heart and destroyed entire villages.
Of course, She'd been devastated when Robin had died. She did love him, but not in the way she was meant to.
The reason she'd been so angry when hook was resurrected, was because she had thought, given time, Emma would Start to feel the same way. But now there was no chance. Emma and hook would get married and probably have millions of pirate babies. The thought made her sick.
But who knew. Regina Mills could change her own fate. One day, she would have her happy ending...
