REGINA P.O.V

Damn it miss swan.
She keeps looking across the room to me, because she's worried I'll break and start killing snow white again or something.
Yes, OK, When Daniel died, that's what I did but it won't be like that this time.

As hard as this is to admit, Robin wasn't my true love. He may have been at one point, when tink showed him to me.

But Ive changed. I'm a different person now.
He was not the one. But I have a pretty good idea of who is...
It's been a week since everyone returned from the land of untold stories. Henry and violet seem pretty happy together. It's sweet.
Emma finds it hilarious though. Obviously she hasn't said so to Henry but she's told everyone else that a couple kids relationship isn't going to last.
I pointed out that Henry wasn't 11 anymore and Emma was actually a similar age when she met Neil. She just rolled her eyes and laughed.
god I love it when she laughs...

Her and captain guyliner have been all over each other of course...

I lifted my eyes and saw Emma and hook cuddled up on the sofa, laughing and talking. I rested my chin on my hands and thought about what feelings I had for Emma. It only became apparent to me recently. But I think I've been in love with that damn woman since she first appeared at my door with Henry by her side.

We were staying in some apartment somewhere that Mary Margaret and David had dug up. None of us were ready to return to storybrooke yet.
It was a little cramped as there were 6 of us sharing the space. Violet had returned back to town, as her father wanted her there.
There were two bedrooms, a kitchen/lounge and a bathroom. Me and Henry got the joy of sleeping in the lounge. We had a sofa bed for Henry, and I got to sleep on the small sofa. Joy.

Emma distangled herself from hook and came at sat at the kitchen table with me.
She was so near. I caught my breath and averted my eyes. I could smell her sweet vanilla scent, and hear her slow soft breathing. It was torture.
"Gina"
Why. Why call me Gina.
"What do you want swan"
A hurt and confused look flashed on Emma's face
"After everything we've been through, why are you still calling me that Regina?"
Urgh. I didn't mean to hurt her

"Im sorry Emma. I'm just in a bad place right now"
"Its OK Gina"
Emma placed her hand over mine and smiled. I could feel the tension, but I doubted Emma could.
Emma stood up to walk back to hook. But something made me call her back
"Emma. Wait"
She turned and looked at me.

"I..."

"What is it Gina?"

" I need to talk to you Emma."

EMMA'S POV

That was how i found myself on the balcony with Regina.

I was worried about her.

I knew how it felt to lose someone I loved.

But I think it was something else. I didn't know what.

Regina had been acting strangely even before Robin died. I wanted to be there for her. She's the mother of my son and my best friend.

I then realised Regina had been silent, and staring at me for the past 5 minutes.

"Gina? What is it? Whats wrong?"

She looked up at me with her soft brown eyes, and opened her mouth as if to say something, but then she closed it again.

"Regina." I moved closer to her. "You can tell me anything, you know that right?"

"OK." She looked down at her hands, I hardly ever see her this vulnerable.

" Emma. Recently, I've been having these... feelings." She paused. I kept quiet, not wanting to scare her off.

"Feelings, for you Emma." She looked back up at me, her eyes scared, her hands were shaking. I could tell she really liked me.

Oh shit.

"Regina. Its OK." I held out my hand,she took it. " Are you sure this isn't you missing robin?" I knew it wasn't.

"No Emma. Ive had these feelings before Robin died... I didn't know what to think , I was so confused... He was meant to be the one. But something was missing" a tear ran down her cheek.

"But gina.. I love killian.
Im sorry, but I can never love you in that way. You will always just be a friend."

I didn't know what else to say, I hadn't been expecting this.

I removed my hand and turned to go inside.

At the last moment i looked back and saw Regina had turned the other way to hide her tears.

"I'm sorry."
