I sit at the table wondering if I should go and catch him. I have to make a decision quick. He won't be in the yard long.

I stand up, from my chair, and run outside. "Michael! Please wait!" I run to him. The warm, early fall air, feels nice against my fair skin. "I'll tell you." I manage to mutter out. "But, not out here. Somewhere, else."

"Okay. Let's go." He said, emotionless.

I opened the door for him. We sat next to the fire. I sighed. "It happened when I was seven." I started. He needed to know about me. "My mom, died, and my dad lied to keep me from crying. It didn't work. I knew he was lying. But that was only because of my powers." He looked at me, in fear.

"Your a witch?" He shouted.

"No!" I shouted back. "Witches are rude, evil, and will kill. I'm fourteen, and have no intention to kill."

"Okay, I believe you. Keep going on."

"Thank you. I soon figured out that I could see if someone was dangerous, from one to ten. Your a two. So is my brother. Mrs. Johnson is a three. Please tell me you believe me."

He sat down and wondered for a minute. "I do. But, if you betray me. I will tell everyone in the world."

I smiled. He did too. "Great."

Over the week, we became best friends. I put my trust in him, and he put his in mine. But I liked him. A lot. The dance was coming up in two days. He hadn't asked me yet.

I sat in my small blue room. Yes, blue. I loved it. Most of the other girls said it was too manly, but honestly, I didn't care a crap what they thought. I'm freaking, awesome.

I sat on my hay mattress. The bear skin covers felt good on my fingers, as I rubbed them across it.

I heard a knock on my bedroom door as I was getting ready for bed. "Hello?" I asked.

"Um, Autumn, there's a woman at the door asking for you." My dad said through the door.

"Whats her name?" I asked, hoping it wouldn't be Mrs. Johnson. I hadn't been doing my dancing homework. She had said if I didn't improve, I would get a bad grade on dancing. I didn't know how.

"She didn't say. Just come down stairs, would you please?" He asked more sternly. He never got stern. Ever.

As I walked down stairs, the woman came into focus. She had blue eyes, blonde hair, pale skin, and she stared at my birthmark. The stupid one, shaped like a treble clef. I had hidden it since we moved here.

"This is, Autumn?" She asked. It was the woman from my dreams. Dad nodded. "Perfect. Autumn, your coming with me." She took my arm and dragged me outside.

"Exuse, me?" I stopped her. Dad just let me go. "I'm in my pajamas, I don't know who you are, and my dad's just letting me go?" I was so confused. "What is your name even?"

She sighed. "You've seen me before. I know you have. I'm Ivy." Ivy. That name. She only said it once, in my dream. I was eleven, and she said her name. "Now, if you want your family to live, I reckon you come with me."

"My family is going to die?" I shouted at Ivy. "No! This is not normal!" I stepped on her toe. She winced as I ran upstairs.

"Autumn! This lady is for your own good!" Xander said chasing me. "Go get dressed, and pack a bag of your things. Your leaving in the morning!"

I stomped upstairs. Why did this happen to me. Just like I said when I found the wall. Why not, Xander, Cynthia, Michael, or anyone else?

I woke up to Ivy shaking me awake. The bright morning sun made my eyes water. "What, what?!" I shouted at her. "Hello!" I was still in my pajamas.

"It's time." She said as she yanked the bear skin off me. "Did you pack your things?" She asked looking around the room.

"Yes they're under my bed." I reached my hand under my bed, but Ivy beat me to it. She grabbed my bag, and got me new clothes.

They were very weird. There was a chain mail armored shirt cover, and the skirt was pants. Pants! They were blue jeans. "This is what you'll be wearing soon. I told you we have to go."

"I'm not going to go cross dressing. I'm a lady."

Ivy stared at me. "Oh, really? All of the other girls would think not."

"Whatever. Let's just go. Where's your horse?" I said as I got dressed, in my big closet.

"Oh. I didn't bring a horse." She said. What could she have got? Horse and donkey were the only types of transportation. "I brought him." She points out the window, to what seems to be a giant wolf made out of a tree. "That's Grisloc. My pet wolf."

For a moment I stand still unable to process this in my head. "This is insane. Am I dreaming again?" I ask Ivy. So far she's just as terrible as the seven girl at my old school. I then remember. I hadn't scanned her.

As she was turned away, I scan her. I focus on her and try to get a reply. I think for a second it won't work. But I get a slight respond. She scores a one. But how is this possible? She's insane.

"You tried to scan me. Didn't you?" She says as she turns to me. I stand in fear. "It's fine. Now you see I tell the truth. I won't hurt you. I promise." She reached out to my hand. I foolishly take it. I feel as if I can trust her now. I don't know why though.
