The Devil's Daughter (On Hold)

The day before Graduation

Its the day before graduation and things are hectic. My mom and dad are losing theirs minds trying to prepare for my departure while Phylix is stressing about not packing enough condoms for our trip to France, and me.. Well im just chilling. As I sit back and revaluate on my life, I notice that I was truly blessed. I may not know who my real parents are but I can honestly say I am fine without knowing.

They did the best thing ever, and that was give me up so the most amazing people I know could have me. It strikes me that even Phylix with his peverted self, is also another blessing. A Flashback hits my mind reminding me of how Phylix and I met.

I was 5 and he was 6, we (Me and all the other orphan children) had just got back from a feild trip to the zoo and it was time to eat lunch. As I made my way to my regular seat at the assigned lunch table, I stumbled across Phylix who sat in my seat. Confused, I tapped Phylix to let him know that he wasnt suppose to be sitting there.

"Hey Miter, dats my seat!" I huffed out a little agetated. Even then I had an attitude.

"I-im sorry, I just got here and I dont know where to sit" I squinted my eyes at a now nervous Phylix. After a few seconds in silence I smiled big and wide displaying a row of gums.

"Whats your name" I asked curiously.

"Phylix" He extended his hand for me to shake. I grabbed his hand and shook it.

"Well miter Phylix, your my betfriend now so you sit next to me and my name Is Ava"

Ever since then we were best friends, looking out for eachother. We were inseperable, and Ican honestly say he has been there for me throughout everything. I will never forget the day he stood up for me when a little boy pushed me down in a puddle and made me cry, that was the day I knew he was truly my bestfriend.

I was minding my own buisness, ready to get back inside and play with my barbies. Jimmy Knox, the boy that bullied me constantly everyday, ran up towards me and yanked my hair.

"You freak !" He yelled making all the other kids laugh, except Phylix who wa now clenching his fists.

"No ones gonna wanna adopt you, your way to ugly and your skin is nasty !" He yelled once again only this time he pushed with all his might making me fall in a puddle near by. Jimmy started chanting freak girl and soon everyone joined in with him ganging up on me. I covered my ears and rocked back and forth wishing they would stop wishing the tears would stop.

" Leave her alone !" Phylix screamed causing everyone to turn around towards his direction. Jimmy scowled and walked over to Phylix.

"What are you gonna do about wimp!" Jimmy egged on while poking Phylix. Note* Ive only seen Phylix get this mad twice: when this happened and when we first got in high school and this kid named Van tried to rape me.

Phylix punched Jimmy straight in the nose causing Jimmy to fall flat on his ass. But Phylix didnt stop there, he reaptedly punched Jimmy while screaming 'Dont mess with my best friend' after each punch. It took 3 supervisors to stop Phylix from killing Jimmy, Note* Phylix was only six. Ever since then I knew I had a friend for life.

I found it pretty ironic that we both got adopted on the same day, with couples that were best friends. My mother told me that my father and his best friend which is Phylix's foster dad decided on going to look for kids at the same Foster home.They met a a They told my mother and Phylix's mother the plan and they agreed. And thats when they spotted Phylix and I in the play room by ourselfs playing with eachother.

If it wasnt for Phylix refusing leave with them unless I went , I would probably still be in a foster home. My mom and dad originally wanted a boy but I guess because of my disease that they call a blessing -_- they were intrigued, with Phylix also adding fuel to the fire they decided to take me. I smiled knowing that I could possibly be the luckiest girl in the world to have such amazing people in my life.
