we are the ones who are born to help
We are the ones that help other people
We are brothers and sisters,
We are sons and daughters,
We are your best friend
We were created to heal others wounds,
Both the physical and mental injures.
We were created to be that little ray of sun
in a blizzard of darkness
We are always the strong ones
The happy ones,
We are always there to help others,
Never thinking of ourselves first.
we are drawn to those that are hurting,
Those that need help.
People always just assume we're okay, happy and strong
People never think we might need help,
They never think that, hey maybe we need to be asked how we're doing
They'd never think that we might have scars hidden under our clothes,
Old ones and new ones, still red and fresh.
We are the healers, the ones who heal others
We heal them by taking their pain and making it our own
And we never let them see our own pain
We hide it to keep others from hurting,
We hide it with big smiles, and bright clothes.
We hide it behind masks of spirit and cheer
But at night when alone, those smiles fade, and the cheer disappears
And we cry, alone late at night, as that blade cuts our skin
And the strength bleeds away.
we wake up the next morning happy and strong,
No one aware that strength and smile crumbled away
No one knowing that we cry at night as we cut to have some control over our own pain
No one knows that we hurt at al, but they could.
They could if they saw our eyes, filled with pain,
They could if they ask " how are you?"
If they simply ask " are you okay"
But no one does because they think I'm good, happy and strong
But they never realize how weak we really are
They have no idea that we can never heal one person
That we can never heal ourselves.

Poems
Poetrythese are poems I wrote. I never forced a poem out, they are written how they were first written. No editing, no drafts of final products. Some are sad, some are sympathetic, some offer hope, some are funny, and some.. some are painfully true
