/////Evan's P.O.V/////I hear the distant moans and groans and I feel my hand on my forehead. I'm sweaty yet I'm shivering. I feel like I'm baking even though I know it's cold outside. I don't open my eyes for Tyreese will probably be just sitting there, watching.
"Evan," I hear a voice whisper. My eyes flutter open. It's still pretty dark outside so it takes awhile for me to see Tyreese's figure. There is a dim glow outside, it moving and lighting up the van. His head keeps moving back and forth so I can't focus on him.
"What? What's wrong?" I ask thinking over why it could be so hot. I start waking up and the smell hits me first. I cough then I feel a shove. I gasp and sit up. My eyes finally adjust to the new light, seeing Tyreese leaning over me.
"There are at least 30 outside. They haven't seen us yet but we have a problem," He pauses and looks outside, "About half are one fire."
I freeze. The glow grows brighter and brighter. I stare into his eye's trying to find any source of calm. I find none. He looks just as scared as I feel.
"They are right, right outside?" I ask trying not to sutter. I chew my cheek and stare into his eyes.
He nods and I let out a small noise. Maybe a cry or a whimper, I'm not sure.
He looks back out the window. I force myself to follow his gaze. The next thing I see will ruin me.
Bodies. Fire. Monsters.
I open my mouth, about to scream, but Tyreese's hand finds its way to my mouth. I scoot back and hug my legs.
"We can't run out so we have to stay till they go," Tyreese whispers slowly laying on his stomach. I glare down at him.
"Unless they notice dinner's in 'ere," I yell whisper. It was like yelling in a whisper voice. So I yelling.
"Will you shut up!" Tyreese yells, making me jump. I hear the growls get louder and I squeeze my eyes shut.
Focus! Open your eyes! Good. Right there, right in his eyes. They are gorgeous. Think about how you could stay here forever. You could get lost yet find your way at the same time.
Tyreese looks away and I lose my calm. I slowly go down on my stomach. Our faces are inches apart. We stay here breathing and staring. His expression is blank so I mirror this.
A shadow is cast over us and I exhale. I stare into his eyes, just have to keep staring into his eyes. He overall seems calm but his eyes are full of fear.
"If they see us, we get into the front and start the car. Then we drive out of this mess, okay?" He nods his head while he whispers. I nod and he shakes his head, "Say something."
"I understand," I sigh and look up.
The next event will haunt me forever. I make direct eye contact with one of those things. I see pure lust in its gray, clouded eyes. A monster with a decaying body.
It groans and turns its body to face me. It's too dark to see detail but it was obviously a girl before, before well all this. Her eyes seemed like they would be on a popular, envied girl. I don't know why I think this but I do.
It growls and Tyreese moves just enough to see it. He puts his arm around me and seems to lift me. I'm on my knees still staring at the Mort.
As I watch it a large glow comes from behind. It's flame.
I look over at Tyreese but he seems to be in a trance watching the fire Mort move. I glance back and the Mort is growling more so I wait and watch for its next move. It reaches up and smacks the window making us jump. The flame moves closer and closer.
