Dedicated to Shan and Ally-kins: without your persistence, this would literally not exist
A/N: This is a Gift!fic for two of my friends who absolutely ship this ship. AKA I'm the most casual KPOP fan to ever fan. Anyways, whether you care about that or not, thanks for clicking on this story and I hope you enjoy! :)
PS. I will mostly be using their real names for this fic, I feel it's better to use it than their stage names, considering the setting. Also, any advice for improvement is appreciated. Thanks.
ALSO, EXAMS ARE OVERR! Hope that anyone else who did them did the best they could! May all of use get good grades. Make those all-nighters mean something. Peace!
ALSOO, I have total writer's block. Expect a gap between this chappie and the next.
As they neared the outskirts of the village, Taehyung and Yoongi encountered more trees than people. Their joyful banter interrupted the serenity of the forest, although neither of them minded. Taehyung's senses were overloaded with new sensations from the sound of the running water and the throbbing ache in his legs. Never having been physically active before, the trek that they were making was very tiring. By the time Yoongi was at the base of a small hill, Taehyung was leaning against a tree several feet behind him.
"Anyways, mom kind of freaked out because-." Yoongi turned beside him to look at Taehyung. He turned to look behind him to find a bundle of cloth against the trunk of an oak tree.
"Oi!" Yoongi shouted. "Hurry up! You're so slow! It's cause of that cloak you're always wearing! Just take it off!"
"Not a chance!" Taehyung shouted, although it was barely heard in between his breaths. "I'll be-huff-fine. Just give me-huff-a minute-huff."
Yoongi sighed in defeat and walked to where Taehyung was. "Fine."
"How much farther?' Taehyung asked as he regained his breath. Although Yoongi couldn't see it, Taehyung's cheeks had turned a light pink; how embarrassing it was to be so unfit, that he would get tired from walking!
Yoongi pointed at the hill. "We just have to climb up the hill and he's probably at the bottom."
"Why there?" Taehyung asked.
"Who knows? Anyways, are you ready to go now?"
Taehyung nodded and dusted his cloak. "So, what were you saying?"
Yoongi's eyes widened. "Right. So, my mom freaked out because of the ball with the Prince is hosting for his birthday. But, me and my brother are both boys, so she's kind of disa-well, she's really disappointed, and..."
Yoongi continued his story as Taehyung held his stomach from laughing too much. The bizarre image of Yoongi or his brother dressing up as a girl to attend the ball was almost too ludicrous to comprehend. He contemplated telling Yoongi to go with the idea, but deemed it too mean to embarrass him in front of most of the kingdom.
By the time, they were at the top of the hill, Taehyung's entire body was shaking with laughter and Yoongi's smile took up his entire face. He had just finished telling the story of how both he and his brother had to forcibly stop their mom from buying them wigs and dresses.
"Your mother, she's very persistent, isn't she?" Taehyung asked once his laughter subsided.
"Yeah," Yoongi smiled. "She's amazing though."
"She had to be, dealing with you all the time," Taehyung remarked.
"Eh? What did you say? Huh? Huh? When did you get such a smart mouth, huh?" Yoongi wrapped his arms around Taehyung's neck to put him in a headlock. This only sent both men into another round of laughter.
