Love Found In Magic

CHAPTER ONE

There was this girl who always believed in fairy-tales, she read all the books an watched all the movies. She loved the image of magic. Well she wanted to explore the world to find this magic. One day she came across this boy who was really tall. He looked at her an spoke “what are you doing in the woods alone?” she was really shy but she spoke to this boy “I-im looking for s-something..” she said looking at him. “may I help you? I could protect you in these scary woods” the boy said with a smile.
The girl smiled an nodded as she took his hand. They begun their journey into the woods. “by the way my names Gin” the boy said with a smile. “Gin..” the girl repeated happily.  “well what’s your name silly” Gin said as he tapped her shoulder “my name? Its uh…” the girl looked down. “I don’t remember my name” she replied looking at Gin. “that’s ok, ill give you one if you like?” he asked her with a smile. “yes please!!” she kind of begged she looked down blushing as Gin looked around thinking. “Rin?” he asked as she shook her head “kortaru?” he asked once more as she looked about. She smiled at him an nodded “kortaru it is” he said as she hugged him. “I like kortaru its unique“ Gin was surprised than hugged back, “so kortaru, what are you looking for?” Gin questioned. “magic” she simply replied, Gin laughed. “well what kind of magic?” he smiled as she frowned. “good, charming magic” she replied sadly. “what about magic that can transform you? Or make you disappear?” Gin asked once more. “yes any magic will do for now” she said as Gin reached out his hand, suddenly he started to disappear. Kortaru became nervous about him leaving her, she reached out to grab his other hand but it was too late, he was gone. Kortaru fell to the ground an started to cry. “Gin don’t leave me! I don’t like being alone…” Gin suddenly reappeared an hugged kortaru. “im sorry…please don’t cry, I would never leave you” he said as she held on to him tightly. “so you are magical?” Taru asked him. “well kind of…I was born with a curse. I can also change into any animal or spirit.” Gin said as she smiled. “that’s amazing! Come on I need you” Kortaru said as Gin stood there confused. “need me for what exactly?” he asked as she stared at him. “for a boy you sure do ask a lot of questions” she said strictly as he frowned. “I just need to know a lot of things” he replied as Taru giggled. “I need your help. My Brother is in danger” she said as Gin looked down. “how am I supposed to help your brother? Im just a boy with a curse. How old are you anyway?” Gin asked more questions. “im 16, an its not a curse it’s a blessing Gin! If you could help him please!!” Taru begged an pleaded. “we just met Taru…I don’t know what I can do” Gin said walking away.

Gins P.O.V
She wants me to help her save her brother. But how can I do that when I cant even save myself? I know I just met this girl but she seems pretty amazing. I just don’t know how or what to say or do. “Gin please!!” Kortaru screams after me. “Taru….” I mumbled under my breath. “I wish I could help…” then I felt something pull my shoulders down. I lay on the ground staring at the trees above, hopeless to the world. “so that’s it? Your just going to lay here an give up on life? When my brother was taken an turned into a dog. I had lost my memory . That’s all I could remember, but I didn’t give up Gin. I came into the woods in search for help, searching for you.” Kortaru spoke her mind trying to free mine. She should see by now im just a worthless spirit who cant do anything. But I got up. I looked her in the face an walked right passed her. “In order to help I have to see him.” I spoke to her as she followed right behind me. “my brother?” she asked slightly amused. “yes, an you said he was a dog? Does he have any magic powers that you know of” I asked as she slightly frowned “no he never tells me anything like that.” She replied looking at me.  We kept walking in silence, I liked it this way, it gives me time to think. As we kept walking we ran into this girl who had dog ears. “Hello there Gin” she said with a smirk, why don’t I know her? “hi, what do you want?” I asked rudely. She just stared at me in shock. “did Gin forget his beloved girlfriend already?” she asked with a smirk “pa-lease like I would ever date you, now if your done wasting our time, I have a brother to save.” I said while I grabbed Kortaru’s hand. She gripped my hand hard. “Gin who was that girl?” Taru asked while I looked down at her. I don’t even know myself who that girl is, what do I tell her?. “it was no one, I know for a fact that we have never dated before, I don’t even know her name.” I spoke the truth. We kept walking an noticed a waterfall. Taru ran up to it as I grabbed her arm an pulled her back. “don’t.” I said as she looked confused. “why?” she questioned. “because that is the ancient waterfall, of Tokyo” I told her as she frowned “so what? Its not like im going to die if I touch the water” she said frustrated. “actually there Is a old legend of this waterfall, behind it there’s a castle that the old king lives in. but its been 400 years since anyone has lived in that castle, an to get past the waterfall you need to battle a wolf.” I explained to her as she giggled. She then pulled on my arm. “comee onn Giinnnn I wanna see the castle” she whined while trying to tug me into the waterfall. I then gave in, but ended up going in first. I don’t know if this is safe, a wolf huh? Would the wolf even be alive, it has been 400 years. Then I looked over to my side to see none other than her.  “so you love me so much you couldn’t stay away.” She said giggling “don’t you have a mutt to keep company?” I asked her as she growled “how dare you say that to a wise wolf!” she yelled as Kortaru looks at her then me. “oh, I thought you were just a wild mutt, my bad” I laughed as Taru frowned. “well then, I see you don’t want to pass this waterfall” she spoke as I looked at Taru. I lied to Taru I know that I shouldn’t have done that, the truth is I cant turn in to 'any spirit or animal'  I can only turn into a fox. Yea I can disappear an reappear, but that’s not special at all. “what do I have to do for you to let us pass?” I asked her as she looked at Kortaru. “tell this young girl the truth Gin” wow she is pretty wise to know I was lying. I looked at Taru, she’s frowning at me. “Taru. I can explain…” I started to speak as she walked past the wolf. “nice going!” I yelled at her as she laughed “well wild fox, your nothing but a wild familiar” she smirked as I ran after Taru. Im such a idiot!! I shouldn’t have lied to her. I have no idea where she went. I turn into my fox form, I have 6 tails an fox ears my fur turns black and white, I still have two legs an arms an a human face, yes my teeth got sharper as well. I start to smell around for Taru, I finally catch her scent an follow it.  I see her as she runs inside a big brick building, wait that’s the castle! Taru no. I run to the castle, knowing I cant enter it unless I turn into a familiar. Dammit Taru why cant you just listen to me. I run up to the entrance an put my hand up to the clear path. there’s a barrier against wild familiars, they are forbidden to enter the castle. “KORTARU PLEASE LISTEN TO ME” I yell into the empty entrance. Its useless to even try to get through to her. I sit down at the entrance an wait for her, Yea im worried about her but what more can I do?

Kortaru's P.O.V
I run into a castle trying to get away from Gin, he was lying to me the whole time. Yea I don’t know what he was exactly lying about since I ran away when he was going to explain. But I don’t know If I could trust him now, I don’t even know why I trusted him in the first place. Im a wreck I hate being alone. I look at the entrance to see if Gin followed me, an sure enough he did. He puts his hand up to the open door an just stands there, why isn’t he coming in? he then screams “KORTARU PLEASE LISTEN TO ME” I hear him as he gives up an sits down. What do I do? “SOMEONE GUIDE ME!” I yell to the open air, then the wolf girl appears.  “oh aren’t you a cutie, I never introduced myself, my names Haru the wise wolf” she looked down on me, I could tell. “hi Haru, im Kortaru an…I wanna know the truth about Gin, but I don’t know if I should…” I told her as she smiled slyly. “oh honey, he's a wild familiar, the only way he can enter this castle is if he becomes someone’s familiar” she said laughing as if this is some funny joke to her. “how do I make him my familiar?” I asked her as she stood there surprised. “you kiss him an call him a good boy while petting his head” she said with a smirk. Why do I want him to be my familiar? He lied to me, but this could be payback. “ok fine” I said as I stood up an walked to the entrance. I walked up to Gin. “stand up” I demanded as he looked at me shocked. He stood up an hugged me, I then looked at him in the face an kissed him, then I pet his head an said “your a good boy” then he looked at me an looked at Haru. She was laughing at me. “hahahah I cant believe you actually did it!!” she’s bursting out laughing. “i don’t understand?” I said as Gin looks at me. His coat then turns grey instead of black, an he has a white pattern. He looks at Haru an yells “WHY DID YOU TELL THIS GIRL TO MAKE ME HER FAMILIAR…its fine, im fine. This is nothing. As long as its Kortaru im fine.” He said as I looked down. “it was funny, all she had to do was kiss you. But I made her pet you, a call you a good boy. Bwahahhah SHE ACTUALLY DID IT!” she laughs as I cover my face blushing.  How could she? “That’s cruel even for you, stupid wolf.” Gin says as Haru gets angry “Excuse me?! I am the wise wolf who protects this land!!” she yells at Gin.  “Haru it would be wise, if you shall go protect the entrance” I tell her as she glares at me, then disappears. “come on Gin, we now have a castle to explore” I giggle as I tug his arm. He gives in an follows me into the castle. This place is humongous! Gin doesn’t look happy about this at all, maybe it has something to do with the king? But that had to have been 400 years ago; talk about holding a grudge. “why are you starring at me?” Gin asked while I looked down blushing. “Its just that. Even though you’re a fox, your still nice. I don’t understand why you trusted me when we first met” I spoke what was on my mind. “because, I’ve known you for a while you just don’t remember me.” He spoke without looking at me. I don’t know if he's lying or not; I cant tell.
