CHAPTER THREE

Kortaru's P.O.V
I look around trying to find Gin. I don’t know where I am, what happened to me? I look around the trees “Someone! Anyone?!” I yell for guidance but no one replies. I sit down an start a fire, I grab my katana an hunt for food. I ended up killing a bird for dinner. The sun starts to set yet again, the trees sparkle with the stars once more. “forest guide me. Tell me what I have to do, where I have to go” I spoke to the trees waiting for a response. “you have to find the wise oak tree” I heard one of the trees speak “he will lead your path” another one spoke “just follow the stars” a third tree said “but what star do I follow?” I asked the trees “follow the star that your heart guides you too” another tree told me. “thank you for your help” well looks like im going to have to only travel at night now. The world is quiet as I start to walk on. I have to forget about that stupid fox. I stop in my tracks as I stare up at the stars, I fall to my knees crying. “how can I forget someone I love so much?!” I yell to no one. “its simple, just don’t forget” I hear a familiar voice. “who are you? Where are you?” I ask the open air waiting for a response. “sadly this is the last time we shall meet. If you wish to forget its ok, I understand. I was such a horrible friend an even worse familiar. If I could turn back time to before we met I would, but unfortunately we grew up together im 3 years older than you. I promised I would protect you, but I’ve become weak. Im sorry Kortaru” I hear him speak to me, more tears stream down my face. I get up off the ground an yell out to him. “Gin don’t give up on me now! I need you, please help me, stay with me by myside. Don’t leave me alone, don’t say such a thing, such disgraceful words! Your my familiar an mine only!” I yell at him not knowing where he is, I start running. I don’t know where im heading or where this path ends.  Hes on my mind like always, this is not how its going to end not now not ever. Yea I lost my memories from before a week ago but im not letting that drag me down! I have a family to save, my brother is the only one I have left an im not losing him. As I keep running I start to get dizzy, the world is spinning. Then as if I was never running I fainted to the ground.

Gins P.O.V
I spoke to her, I hurt her. Stupid Haru you will pay for this. Kortaru started running, I followed her until she fainted. I ran to her help an picked her up. I lay her head on my lap for her to rest easy.  She then starts talking. “Gin don’t leave. Wise oak tree. Fix family. Love Gin. Help me. Don’t give up.” I stare at her as tears run down my face, I want to stay by her, I want to help her. An that’s exactly what im going to do. I turn into my fox form an kiss her on the lips. “Taru im here for you forever an always.” I Speak to her as her eyes slightly open. “Gin?” she spoke quietly. I then here a strange noice coming towards us, no its probably haru. Then it goes by as fast as lightning. "STOP HIM!" I hear a girl scream towards us, who in the world? "LOKA IS GETTING AWAY!" she yells while she grabs a hold of my hand.  "Wha?." I speak as im being pulled away. "He is a vampire, an vamps are bad news" she said as i jump up an run after him. Loka is his name, hmm i knew of one a long time ago. "LOKA STOP!" i yell as he freezes an turns around to face me.  "So Gin is still alive eh? Who would have known, so little dog what do you want?" Said Loka in a harsh tone.  "Hm, maybe some nice vampire soup, Loka. You know how i feel about your attitude problem." I speak as he laughs. "Cook me then, you would be doing a favor" he chuckles as i grab his jaw line. "Its no more nice fox for you, you have crossed the lines. I will not exept this behavor from a 162 year old freak!" I yell at him while he looks down. "Hm? Who must this be? Did the wild fox turn into a familiar, this cant be shes a witch." Spoke Loka while i look down at Kortaru. "RUN TARU NOW!" i scream while she giggles. "Oh silly vampire you are, its daylight you should fade away soon." Shes acting strange..the flower is still in her mind. "Taru please!" I beg of her "no Gin im done running from foolish creatures, you wanna see my power at full? I will show you light that will bring darkness. I will show you true pain." She spoke out of peer hatred. Shes gonna get herself into trouble, i dont even think she knows what shes saying. "Loka! Your gonna die if you go anywhere near her, ya hear?!" I yell in vein, i have to help her. Loka then smirks an dissapears in thin air, i look around to find him an see him holding onto Taru. "Hmm games seem fun" he smirks as i grab a branch. This time im for real you do not touch my Taru an live. "Loka....last warning" i said as he ran off with her. I track her scent an follow along. I catch up an stab him in the leg, he yelps in pain but keeps going. I jump up over him an run into a bush, as he approaches i slice his stomach with the branch. He falls down in pain as Taru goes flying. "AHHHHHHH GIN HELP!" Taru screams as she comes back to reality. "Im coming!" I yell as i race to her safety. I catch her an start running towards Loka. The girl from before was to his rescue. "You were a big help" i said sarcastically. "Well what do you expect of me? Im human you idiot" she spoke in a harsh tone. "Why are you in these woods? If your just a mere human you wouldn't live a day." I spoke truth as she got angry. "Excuse me? What a bout that girl in your hands? Shes human." Said the girl "no shes a witch, can i have your name?" I ask her as she looks at Loka "i am Taylor" Taylor looks back at me "an Loka is my boyfriend. He was being attacked by other humans an he didnt want me near him, he said its not safe" she continued. "Because its not!! Do you want me to eat you? One day i might not be able to control myself, an i dont want that day to come. I would never forgive myself" Loka spoke as i walk away.
