As soon as the music started I danced like I never have before. I guess you could say I was feeling myself. There was definitely some facials that I pulled out of nowhere. But I did the dance perfectly but at one part I forgot but I didn't let it stop me I just improved a little bit. I didn't skip a beat. I did my extension and held it, I heard Cameron scream "get it gurll"
And the other guys say a few more things. God I love them. I ended by dance by throwing my hands up snapping turning around myself and then somehow I did a back handspring into a backflip, also don't know where that came from. And I continued walking off. My coach ran up to me.
"Skylynns that was amazing! Ah..omg go say hi to your family then we have about 39 minutes to get ready for the duo!" She instructed
I ran through backstage and into the lobby where Rue told me to go when I finished. I ran and jumped into Hayes arms. I think I saw Nash crying. Everyone was screaming for me giving me compliments and telling me how proud of me they were. After a few minutes of catching up I pulled Hailey and Mahogany into the dressing room. This time Hailey did mine and graces hair. It was just in a simple bun with a silver or red clip. We did a smokey eye. Ran out number through once and went on stage. The vibe in the room was amazing I had to much energy and so did grace it looked amazing. We finished with our backs together and high fived and ran off. I again, said hi to the crew, went backstage and changed into our warm up suits since we had awards next, then after came our hiphop and contemporary. Since we still had a little while we went back to the lobby and hung out with the boys and made a few vines. I vlogged a little bit, then we watched our dances on the video that the company took. We were amazing. A few minutes later our coach told us to go onstage.
After a few awards...
"Act number 82 Confident gets Platinum" and I went and got my trophy
"Act member 92 Better in Stereo Platinum" Grace went to get the trophies (since it was a duo we both got trophies
Then it went to the category awards
"First place in the Shining Star 12-13 Age level solo act is....... SKYLYNN WITH CONFIDENT" the announcer said. They crew was going crazy and I went to get my first place award and screamed my name into the mic and my teacher and studio then sat back down a few minutes later
"First place in the Shining Star 12-13 Age level Duo is.....BETTER IN STEREO" he said and me and grace shot up. We went to claim our award and said our studio and stuff. After awards we went to the fam and I took some pictures with my siblings then by myself then with the whole group....it took a while. Then Nash took my trophies to the car as we went to get ready for hiphop. We did the normal thing, hair, makeup, backstage, dance, talk to the fam, then go back and do it all over again for contemporary. I have to say, all the guys were crying after all of me. I guess they didn't realize that me and Gabe are featured dancers in the piece. We had a few lifts that looked really cool and stuff. Then we changed into our warm up suits and watched the videos of us dancing and I saw we did pretty good. We got platinum and first place for contemporary and second for hiphop, since we were in the same category, so in a way, we beat ourselves. But that's okay. Then it was time for the day award. Basically the award that was the most entertaining to the judges. We did it!! Hiphop won the award for that!! Yassssssss we slayyy. And when we got our big trophy they announced that we got a free entry to nationals and $500. We all went out to dinner, my crew, grace and her fam, and of course, Gabes fam. Then when after we ate Gabe pulled my brothers away to the bathroom cause he didn't want to go alone. Couldn't he have brought Carter. God boys are weird.
OMG NEVERMIND
When they came back, Gabe asked me to be his girlfriend. He asked my brothers permission awwww. Of course I said yes... aduhhh
Then we were greeted by some fan girls and stuff. We headed home and started to watch a movie but I didn't last long. I woke up from somebody screaming
