"are you free today?" you asked through the phone.
"yes why?"
"my parents are here at south korea. they want to meet you and your family."
i felt hesistant saying yes. i get it everytime my friends asks me out even though my parents will say yes. im not sure yet.
"ill ask my paren--"
"i asked them already, they said yes. please soeunnie, your parents said that you might be hesitant with this so i consulted them first, i hope you aren't mad." i was actually happy because you and my parents had this strong bond.
i smiled even though you couldn't see "okay."
"really? okay okay, ill send the place to you mom. 7pm okay? okay. i love you soeun."
i haven't heard those four words from a strangers mouth. i feels nice hearing those four words. i want to say it back, but four words on my mind wouldn't go away.
