Chapter 9 - Surprise! Pt.1

Time skip - one year later

It already passed one year since jungkook's incident, and still he doesn't remember almost anything.

He spent all his time and power on trying to remember his boyfriend and his life in general, just like he promised to taehyung, but failed. Sure, he  remembered a few things here and there sometimes, but it wasn't enough. He wanted to remember every single thing he did in the 21 years he lived.

Today was the 29th in December, and I'm sure you know what day it was. One day before taehyung's birthday.

Jungkook decided with taehyung and their friends that they'll do a little party. Only taehyung, jungkook, and their best friends.

He was currently making the decoration staff while humming to 'paper hearts'. He really liked this song.

"Stop humming, your voice is beautiful and angelic. Try singing it, it'll be prettier than just humming"

Taehyung said when he heard him from the living room and decided to accompany him.

"Are you sure? I haven't sing in a very long time.. I don't think my voice will be like it was before" jungkook hesitated.

"It's okay kookie, if you want I'll even sing with you" taehyung said excitedly and jungkook nodded before he cleared his throat.

Remember the way you made me feel, such young love but something in me knew that it was real, frozen in my head.

jungkook sang first, looking at taehyung all the time and watching him closing his eyes and melting into his amazing voice.

Everything is gray under these skies, wet mascara hiding every cloud under a smile when there's cameras. And I just can't reach out to tell you, that I always wonder what you're up to.

Taehyung continued with his angelic and calm voice. This time he opened his eyes and watched his boyfriend closing his eyes and melting into his voice.

I live through pictures as if I was right there by your side but you'll be good without me and if I could just give it some time, I'll be alright.

Both of them sang together and ended it perfectly. They opened their eyes and looked at each other deep in the eyes happily, before they smiled.

"The sound of our voices together is amazing kookie, we should sing more often"

taehyung said happily, their voices are still playing in his head.

"Yeah you're right tae, we should. Now let's do the decorations, the hyungs will come soon with the food"
