My Daughter

Bittersweet

I laid in the hospital bed with cuts all over my body and a big brace around my body.  I could hardly move in the brace but I had to wear it until my back healed.

Yep I broke my back.  Alexis only fractured her elbow, Chris had bruised her knee, and Thor walked away without a scratch.  He blames himself for my injuries.

I looked out the window to see that the sun was shining and snow covered the ground.  I groaned because I wanted to be outside with my friends.

I heard a knock at the door and I looked over to see Danny smiling holding flowers and a card.

"Hey Danny".  I said smiling.

"Hey baby.  How ya feeling".  He said kissing my head.

"A little sore but I'll live".  I said sitting up a little.

"Here let me help you".  He said and placed his hands on my back and stomach and helped sit me up.  I smiled even more.

"Thanks".  He looked at me and tears started to form in his eyes.  I looked at him and wiped them away.

He sat down in the chair next to me.  "Jamie... w when you... n never respo responded I was so worried that you had died".  I started to cry.  I hate when other people cry it makes me all mushy.

"Well here I am".  I said and he looked up and kissed me.  I kissed back.  He pulled away and whispered.

"I love you Jamie".  I whispered back.  "Love you too Danny".  I laid back down and fell asleep.  Danny sat by my bed and held my hand.

I heard another knock at my door and Danny called them in.

"How is she".  Chris said sounding worried.  "She was up about half hour ago".  Danny said.  I opened my eyes and Chris smiled.

"Hey kiddo".  She said rubbing my leg. 

"Hey Chris.  How is everyone".  I said wondering how my family was. 

"Actually your dad lays in bed all day.  Bucky keeps on coming here but he is worried,  your mom actually came in earlier but you were asleep, and my dad is making you a special suit to help you train for recovery".  I nodded but the one thing that nagged at me was why my dad has not come yet.

"Hey can one of you call my dad and tell him to come down here, I want to see him".

Chris nodded and pulled her phone out and stepped into the hallway.

"Hey what are the rest up too".  I said wondering what Nat and Clint were up to.

Danny smiled. "You'll see". 

Chris P.O.V

I held the phone to my ear and waited for Steve to pick up.

"Hello".  I groggy voice came from the other line. 

" Hey Steve it's Chris,  Jamie-".

"Jamie... is she alright"?  He said worried.

"Yes she is fine but she wants to see you because she misses you".

There was no responce.  "Hello.  Earth to Stevo".  I said.

"Uh Chris, I don't think I can pull myself together".  Steve mumbled.  I walked outside so I could scream at him.

"For Godsakes Steve!  You daughter is in the hospital everyone visiting, and you are in home in bed moping around because you are afraid of breaking down in front of everyone!  Let me tell you something,  my dad cried, Wanda cried, Danny cried, Thor and Alexis, FUCKING BANNER DID!  AND YOU ARE TELLING ME YOU CAN'T DO IT!  WHAT A WONDERFUL FATHER YOU ARE"!  I screamed and ended the call.

I sat outside and let myself cool down because I could feel my powers stirring together.

"Hey you ok".  I looked up to see Wanda standing over me.  "Yeah just needed to cool off.  I kinda blew up in Steve's face".  I said rubbing my neck.

"Yeah I did the same thing also because he will not move to do anything".  She said throwing her hands up in the air.

"I know Jamie misses him and he won't get up to see her because I'm he doesn't want to break down.  Screw him"!  We walked back into Jamie's room where her and Danny were watching Impractical Jokers.

"Hey is my dad coming or what I want to see him".  I looked at Wanda.

"Uh sweetheart... no he won't be.  I am sorry".  Wanda said kissing her head.  Jamie looked down.  I ran over to her because with the head bent over like that came tears.

"Why doesn't dad want to come,  everyone else has but him".  She mumbled letting a tear fall out.  I gave her a semi hug do to her back brace.

"Jamie I swear I did everything to try to get your dad out of bed but nothing worked".  I said feeling so bad for her,  even my dad would not pull that sort of douche bag thing on me.

"I promise Jamie Danny and I will stay her for as long as you want".  I said trying to make her feel better.

"The reason why he doesn't want to see me is because I look ugly with all my scars and my brace, and how u am bed ridden".  Jamie cried harder.

"Jame you are more beautiful with scars because it shows who you really are,  a true hero".  Danny said rubbing her hand. 

She nodded and looked up.  She laid back down and closed her eyes silent tears still slid down her cheeks.  Wanda look furious.

She walked out the door and down the hallway.

Hey guys I hoped you enjoyed this chapter.  The story is going to get more interesting and heart breaking,  but there will be some good parts.
