HURT BUT STRONG
My world collapsed around me,
And I stared ahead, helpless .
Silent tears poured out of my blood shot eyes,
As I sucked in breath after breath.
Pain, immense pain and hurt,
ran through my blood as I opened my eyes,
only to imagine how it would be,
if there truly was someone next to me.
Someone who would hold me close, hold me tight,
Tell me everything will be alright,
That I needn’t cry.
Hatred, immense hatred and agony,
I held in my heart for no one to see.
I hid every flaw,
I hid every mistake,
Hid my human nature,
Under a thick veil of fake smiles and grins.
I’ve never felt so hurt,
never so vulnerable,
It makes me question life,
What was its point?
But as it has been gifted to me,
I stood up again.
I wiped the tears, clenched my fists.
This was it.
I promised never to let it all,
any of it all ever hurt me again.
I’ll stay as strong as I can,
But when I break,
Will There Be Anyone To Fix Me Back?
