Harry's pov
Yesterday, when Olive went upstairs to study with Austin, I felt like they were doing something something much more. I kept listening for squeaks of bed springs but nothing suspicious came from that room. Niall seemed to be in deep thought which got me thinking. I haven't made a move on Olive yet! For all I know, Niall could be booking a fancy restaurant for the two of them.
So all I've been doing today is thinking of how to ask her. I know it seems like I always know how to hook a girl but Olives different. I mean that sounds kinda like a love story but it's true. How am I suppose to get a girl to love me that probably doesn't want to love anybody. I mean if she liked a guy, Im sure she would be able to get him to ask he out. And not with her strength.
I cant play cocky with her because she wont know Im asking her out, and she'll just think Im flirting with her. I cant go all mushy on her because it will just get so awkward between us. I dont know how to ask her out and that just annoys me. I guess I could wing it.... But then I dont know how it will end. I guess thats my only option.
Niall passes by me and smirks. I scowl at him and sink deeper into the couch. He pulls on his shoes and tosses on his coat.
"Where are you going?" I ask him.
"Why do you care?" he mutters and swings the door open. He leaves before I can say another word.
Where's he going? Could he possibly be going to ask Olive out? I wonder what his strategy is. I have had tough girls before, but none caught me quite like Olive. Well except for... No, don't speak of her.
--End of pov--
Louis' pov.
Today has been stressful. Olive and I went to the doctor to take that blood test last week and we're getting it back today.. Without telling anyone, just in case they were to interfere or something. Olive agreed that we were to tell no one but each other. Since I can't say a word I have been keeping my stress inside.
I stroll down the side walk not making eye contact with any of the other people. I breath in the addictive smoke from the cigarette and blow out the smoke. I hurry down the street, fearing I'll be recognized.
I walk for about 10 more minutes until I reach Olives house. I knock quickly and once she opens the door I slip in past her. I fall face first into her couch and exhale deeply. She doesn't say a word but she must sense I'm fragile right now.
She comes up to me and easily takes the cigarette away from my limp fingers. I hear the door open the a few seconds later close. She must have thrown it out.
She sits on the edge and places her hand on my back, comforting me. The warmth of her hand spreads through my body and I grin slightly. I didn't move from my place for a good 3 minutes. Then I realize she wasn't talking. I like Olive for that. For not asking me what's wrong when I don't want to talk about it.
I sit up and pull my legs up to my chest, facing Olive. The corner of her mouth turns up a little and she wraps her arms around me. I breath in her scent and then I decide to talk.
"I'm worried." I sigh.
"Why?" She asks softly, still hugging my limp body. I move my legs and hug her.
"What if the tests come back negative?" I whisper into her hair. She lets go of me and looks into my eyes.
"So what?" she whispers.
"So what? We wouldn't be siblings meaning this wouldn't be ok." I say, referring to the times I have just come over and sat and hugged her.
"We could be very good friends. Like siblings but not." she grins.
